Ho Chi Minh City Police and the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Ho Chi Minh City have just issued an urgent dispatch recommending that Ho Chi Minh City residents actively cooperate, participate in providing and verifying land and housing information to enrich and clean up land data in the area.

Specifically, people need to proactively provide and verify information, coordinate with local police, cultural and social officers, residential groups/neighborhoods to declare, supplement and correct information. Go to the guidance desks arranged at the People's Committee headquarters and public administrative service centers to get support in providing and verifying land information. At the same time, coordinate to standardize personal data.

For about 2 million land users/homeowners with incomplete information, people are requested to cooperate and bring certificates (red books, pink books) and citizen identification cards to compare and verify information with the national population database.

This is an urgent requirement, especially in cases of changing identity cards/identification cards or certificates issued on many different types of maps.

The cooperation of the people is very necessary because when the land database is completed, it will help reduce administrative procedures. Standardized information will help reduce paperwork, shorten the time to handle procedures related to granting certificates and registering land changes.

In addition, land and housing information of people will be updated accurately and transparently, protecting legal rights and assets in the digital environment. In addition, the cleaned data will be integrated into technology platforms such as VNeID application and land information miniApp, helping people to easily look up and use.

"For their own benefit, for a modern digital Ho Chi Minh City, all cooperation and initiative of the people is the decisive factor to help the city complete the digital transformation goal and serve the people's interests better...", the Department of Agriculture and Environment recommended.

Ho Chi Minh City consolidates land data of more than 4.7 million plots of land

Ho Chi Minh City is urgently implementing the 90-day campaign to enrich and clean up the land database to build a "correct - sufficient - clean - alive" land data system, effectively serving state management, while reducing administrative procedures and citizen paperwork.

After a month of implementation, although positive results have been achieved in merging databases from 3 localities (Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau ) into a unified block with 4,771,634 land plots. However, the campaign is still facing many difficulties, mainly due to the lack of synchronization and uniformity in land user information and documents.

From July 1, 2024, VNeID is the only electronic identification application for citizens to log in to the national public service portal and participate in administrative procedures.

At the same time, on September 13, 2025, the Prime Minister issued Directive No. 24/CT-Tg on promoting the deployment of technological solutions to serve people and businesses associated with population data, identification and electronic authentication.

Thus, step by step, activities serving people and businesses will be carried out in the electronic environment, using VNeID application.
