Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan: Competition is the driving force for Phu Tho's development

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan acknowledged and commended the outstanding results and achievements that the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of all ethnic groups in Phu Tho province have achieved in the patriotic emulation movement for the period 2020-2025. The Vice President emphasized that in the coming time, Phu Tho needs to continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, proactive and creative spirit; effectively exploit potentials and advantages, overcome difficulties and challenges to successfully implement the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress. By 2030, Phu Tho strives to become one of the growth poles of the Capital Region, a center for industrial development, trade, logistics, tourism, healthcare , high-quality training and major cultural festivals of the region; towards the goal of becoming a centrally-run city by 2045.

Phu Tho province continues to attach importance to and promote the role of emulation and reward work according to Ho Chi Minh's thought and the Party's policies and resolutions on patriotic emulation. Emulation movements need to be innovated in content and organization methods, closely following the local development practices, in order to strongly arouse patriotism, self-reliance and aspiration to rise up among the people; to mobilize all resources to the maximum for the province's rapid and sustainable development.

In the context that Phu Tho is implementing a two-level local government model and the process of arranging and merging administrative units still faces many difficulties, the Vice President emphasized: The patriotic emulation movement must be an important spiritual driving force to help cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers overcome challenges, unite, bond, and contribute more to the common cause; at the same time, constantly improve capacity, qualifications, sense of responsibility, and meet the requirements of tasks in the new period... She believes that after the Congress, the "flame" of patriotic emulation will continue to be lit brighter to transform the strength of patriotism and solidarity of the political system and ethnic people of Phu Tho province, contributing to building the homeland of the Fatherland to become increasingly civilized, prosperous and beautiful in the new era.

In the 5 years (2020-2025), Phu Tho has nearly 1,800 collectives and individuals awarded at the State level, more than 30,000 collectives and individuals awarded at the provincial level. Emulation and reward work continues to be innovated in content and organization methods, focusing on the grassroots, remote and isolated areas; focusing on rewarding farmers, workers and laborers, encouraging all levels, sectors, business communities and people to overcome difficulties, strive, and contribute significantly to the implementation of the province's socio-economic development goals. The average growth rate is estimated at 7.5%, higher than the average growth rate of the 2016-2020 period (7%/year) and higher than the national average. The scale of the economy is increasing rapidly, reaching 354.6 trillion VND in 2024, ranking 6th out of 34 provinces and cities, and is expected to reach 390 trillion VND in 2025 (1.56 times higher than in 2020); the average GRDP value per capita in 2025 is estimated at 105.2 million VND, an increase of 1.48 times compared to 2020...

Entering the 2025-2030 period, Phu Tho continues to innovate and improve the quality of emulation and reward work, considering it a driving force to promote socio-economic development and maintain national defense and security. The province thoroughly implements Directive No. 41-CT/TW of the Politburo; linking the patriotic emulation movement with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle. The province focuses on discovering, nurturing, honoring and replicating typical advanced examples, especially direct workers, remote areas, new fields; ensuring the right people and achievements are rewarded; promoting propaganda and spreading good people and good deeds, contributing to arousing the desire to contribute and build the homeland of Hung Kings' homeland to become more and more beautiful and civilized.

At the Congress, Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee Tran Duy Dong affirmed that the Congress is an opportunity to summarize, draw lessons, set out directions and tasks for the new period, continue to innovate and improve the effectiveness of patriotic emulation movements; encourage the entire Party and people to unite, strive, create new momentum to bring the province to develop rapidly and sustainably, striving to become a growth pole of the Capital region by 2030.

At the Congress, 210 collectives and individuals were commended and rewarded by the President and Phu Tho province for their outstanding achievements in patriotic emulation movements in the 2020-2025 period.
