Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested urgent implementation of the expressway project through Hai Phong and Ninh Binh | Gia Lai Electronic Newspaper

(GLO)- Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has just directed the Ministry of Transport to urgently coordinate with the Ministry of Planning and Investment and relevant agencies and localities to implement the expressway project through Hai Phong and Ninh Binh.

On June 28, the Government Office issued Official Dispatch No. 4764/VPCP-CN conveying Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha's opinion on the investment plan to build the Ninh Binh-Hai Phong expressway, the section passing through Hai Phong and Ninh Binh.

Specifically, the Ministry of Transport performs the function of the managing agency of the investment project to build the Ninh Binh-Hai Phong expressway, the section through Hai Phong city and the section through Ninh Binh province.

Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha assigned the Ministry of Transport to urgently coordinate with the Ministry of Planning and Investment and relevant agencies and localities to implement the project in accordance with legal regulations.

According to the Road Network Planning for the period 2021-2030 with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1454/QD-TTg dated September 1, 2021, the Ninh Binh-Hai Phong Expressway (CT.08) has a length of about 109 km, belonging to the group of expressways in the Northern region. The project has a starting point at the North-South Expressway in the East, Ninh Binh City, and an end point at the Hanoi-Hai Phong Expressway, with a cross-section of 4 lanes, and an investment progress before 2030.
