The moment the new graduates took off their bachelor's caps, placed their right hand on their left chest and turned towards their parents to express their gratitude, filled the entire auditorium with emotion, tears fell. Parents cried because their children had grown up, children cried because their parents always accompanied and encouraged them.
"This is the first time I have attended such a meaningful graduation ceremony. I took a bus from my hometown to Ho Chi Minh City, just wanting to see my child wearing his graduation gown. For more than 2 years my child has been studying away from home, and my child and I have not had many opportunities to talk to each other. However, when I see my child studying in an environment like this, I feel very secure and proud," said Ms. Gai.
Mrs. Gai used her phone to record her son's entire graduation ceremony.
Many parents livestream for relatives and friends at home to watch.
Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Van Manh's family also drove a motorbike from Binh Phuoc province to Ho Chi Minh City to attend their child's graduation ceremony.
Mr. Manh said his family was very happy to hear that his son, Nguyen Van Hieu, became the valedictorian of the nursing major. The family was even more proud to know that their son was accepted as an official nurse at the cardiovascular department of Trung Vuong Hospital (HCMC).
"Thanks to his good academic performance in high school, Hieu received a scholarship right from his first year of college and maintained his performance until he completed the program. The family did not worry much about finances, the biggest worry was that he would not be able to find a job" - Mr. Manh said.
Mr. Manh (right cover) was overwhelmed with happiness when he heard that his son had become an official nurse at Trung Vuong Hospital.
Dr. Tran Manh Thanh, Principal of Bach Viet Polytechnic College, said that in this graduation session, the school recorded an excellent rate of 10%, and a good rate of about 43%. More than 82% of graduates have jobs in their field of study right after graduation.
"This result reflects the close connection between the school and businesses, as well as the compatibility between the training program and the needs of the labor market. The school is expanding cooperation with domestic and foreign universities, creating favorable conditions for students who want to transfer to university" - Dr. Thanh emphasized.
