Comrade Phan Thi Doan, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, President of the Women's Union of Pham Ngu Lao commune, said: The campaign "Building a family of 5 no's and 3 clean's" was launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union with 8 criteria. In particular, the 5 no's criteria include: No poverty, no violations of the law and social evils, no domestic violence, no malnourished children and dropouts; the 3 clean criteria include: Clean house, clean kitchen, clean alley associated with the key tasks of the union's work and the National Target Program on new rural construction for the period 2021 - 2025. To implement the campaign, the Women's Union of the commune has promoted propaganda and guidance on the implementation of the campaign to 100% of member families. In addition, the Women's Union of the commune has proactively coordinated with relevant sectors to organize training courses, improve knowledge and skills for the team of cadres and women members; Organize for 100% of member families to register and strive to meet the campaign's criteria. At the end of the year, the branches conduct self-assessment for member families and have specific plans and solutions to help and support families that have not met the criteria. To date, more than 70% of the commune's member families have been recognized as meeting the campaign's criteria.
Implementing the "5 no" criteria, the Commune Women's Union has implemented many practical activities such as: Mobilizing members to actively change the structure of crops and livestock; from 2020 to now, coordinating to organize 60 training courses for over 3,000 officials and members; receiving more than 89 billion VND from credit institutions and banks for 1,192 member families to borrow capital; coordinating to support vocational training and job referrals for 230 members. Thanks to that, many female members have risen up to escape poverty, doing good business and earning hundreds of millions of VND each year. For members in difficult circumstances, the union regularly reviews to promptly deploy support activities and report to the locality for support solutions. Ms. Ngo Thi Xuan Hoa, Hue Lai village said: My family is a single parent with difficult circumstances. In early August, a fire suddenly broke out, destroying many properties and household items, making my family's life even more difficult. The local authorities showed their concern by donating 5 million VND and 10kg of rice; local women came to visit, encourage, give gifts and help clean up the remains of the fire. I was very touched and had more confidence to move forward in life.
Regarding the criteria of no violations of the law and social evils, no domestic violence, no malnourished children and dropouts, the Commune Women's Union regularly propagates and mobilizes women members and people to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; propagates women members to take good care of their own health and their families... The Commune Women's Union propagates and mobilizes members to establish a sponsorship fund, build a "Charity Rice Jar" model to help women and children in difficult circumstances. Currently, the Union connects and directly sponsors 4 orphans in difficult circumstances. Han Viet Hung, a student at Dao Duong Primary School, said: I have chronic kidney failure, my father died of cancer, my mother alone works to support me and my siblings, so our circumstances are very difficult. I was sponsored by the Commune Women's Union. In addition to the support of 6 million VND/year, the aunts and uncles also regularly visited and encouraged me in my studies and life. The gifts from the aunts and uncles at the Commune Women's Union gave me more motivation to strive to overcome difficulties and achieve high academic results.
Regarding the "3 clean" criteria, the Commune Women's Union has implemented many activities related to environmental protection such as: Mobilizing members to clean village roads and alleys once a month; organizing cleaning and arranging household items neatly, tidily and cleanly; building models of "Clean house, clean alley", "Clean house, beautiful garden"; classifying and treating waste at households. Up to now, the whole commune has more than 2,800 families participating in classifying and treating household waste; Women's Union branches are responsible for planting and taking care of 3 flower and tree roads such as: Flower road of Phan Lam village Women's Union; tree road of Dao Quat village... Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, Pham Ngu Lao commune shared: Being propagated by the Commune Women's Union about the criteria for implementing the campaign, every day, I clean my house and gate; classify and treat waste; Actively learn to improve your knowledge, encourage family members to comply with the law; actively work and produce, strive to develop the family economy, and build a happy family.
The effective implementation of the campaign has contributed to improving the local rural appearance with colorful flower roads , rows of green trees covering clean concrete roads, improving the material and spiritual life of the people, and maintaining security and order.
