Use scientific methods to crossbreed and select to eliminate unwanted genes, consolidate good characteristics, increase resistance to pests and diseases and improve productivity. In May, the commune organized a pilot production model with a planting area of ​​1 sao, which will be harvested in October. Up to this point, the planted rice area has grown well and is less affected by pests and diseases. To avoid hybridization of rice varieties, people have to do many steps such as: 1st decontamination when the rice is green, removing plants of different varieties; 2nd decontamination when the rice is standing, forming panicles, removing plants of different varieties and forms; The third decontamination is when the rice is thrown horizontally, removing plants of different varieties, different types of rice, different types of rice flowers... When successfully restored, Ga Gay My Lung sticky rice will become a typical and unique agricultural product of Phu Tho. Building a brand and geographical indication for this product can help increase economic value, bringing stable income to local people.
