Through the land of yellow sunshine and green wind

Looking back nearly 30 years ago, to get to Ninh Thuan from the North or from the South, the best way was to buy a sleeper ticket on the train. The most memorable memory for me at that time was the sweltering heat at noon when the train stopped at Thap Cham station to take on water and coal, the image of a few abandoned steam locomotives in a corner of the station or rows of bushes growing on sandy soil...

30 years later, my memories of the dry, windy, sandy land seemed to have faded when I landed at Cam Ranh airport and headed towards Ninh Thuan. Along both sides of the road were lush green grape fields, lush rice fields, white salt fields, dotted above with rows of giant wind turbine blades against the deep blue sky and mountains.

Wide roads lead to famous tourist attractions such as Nui Chua National Park, Hang Rai, ancient stone park, Vinh Hy Bay or Poklong Garai Cham Tower… Luxurious resorts and hotels of international standards adorn the long coastline with calm, clear blue water and sparkling white sand.

Walking around a luxury resort, it is hard to say that this place is one of the driest regions in Vietnam when in front of your eyes are charming villas nestled peacefully among the green forest canopy. The clever arrangement of villas and accommodation blocks following a respectful approach to nature has helped this 5-star resort to be loved by tourists.

This is also the premise to attract other famous resort real estate investors to Ninh Thuan to turn this land into a green tourist paradise on the world's high-end tourism map.

Following the resort appointments, golfers will be able to perform spectacular swings at the newly opened international-class 18-hole coastal golf course in Ninh Thuan. Playing golf, diving to see coral, swimming, climbing mountains, trekking through forests, exploring the white stone plateau, conquering the vertical cliffs along the coast or being fascinated by the green vineyards, red grapes full of fruit... are experiences not to be missed when setting foot in the once pristine sunny and windy land of Ninh Thuan.

Recently, Nui Chua National Park was recognized by UNESCO as a world biosphere reserve, opening up new opportunities in the tourism sector and contributing to attracting more potential investors.

It's exciting to spend a day running on trails through the forest, weaving through clusters of cacti taller than a person and interspersed with cliffs in the semi-desert.

The Otter Cave with its stacked rocks facing the sea, the vast, colorful coral reefs hidden under the deep blue water, or the majestic natural stone plateau… have created green experiences called Ninh Thuan.

Although the criteria for sustainable tourism development and green tourism have not yet been issued, by 2030, Ninh Thuan will develop both traditional tourism and create new types of tourism based on maximizing existing advantages, making Ninh Thuan an international-class resort, experience and discovery tourism destination.

Activities to preserve and maintain ancient cultures such as beliefs and festivals of the Cham people, Raglai culture, etc. are carried out regularly along with many events promoting the land and people of Ninh Thuan.
