In celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Military Region 5's Armed Forces Traditional Day (October 16, 1945/October 16, 2025), in recent times, the Standing Party Committee and the Military Region 5 Command have focused on leading and directing the organization of many exciting and practical activities. Notably, competitions have been widely launched, such as: Competition to learn about traditional history; competition to mobilize poetry and song writing and beautiful photo panels on the theme of the Military Region's Armed Forces.

Lieutenant General Le Ngoc Hai, Commander of Military Region 5 and Colonel Luong Dinh Chung, Political Commissar of Military Region 5 presented awards to the authors of the Song Composition Contest on the theme of Military Region 5.

After more than 5 months of implementation, the Organizing Committee has received nearly 450 works (including 111 research articles, 23 songs, 282 poems and 26 photo panels) from groups and individuals inside and outside the Army. These are truly priceless "spiritual gifts", containing the feelings, enthusiasm and responsibility of the authors for the officers and soldiers of Military Region 5.

New songs about Military Region 5 were performed by the mass art troupe of agencies, units and artists at the program.

At the program, the Military Region 5 Command awarded: 4 first prizes, 9 second prizes, 12 third prizes and 20 consolation prizes to individuals with achievements in the online research contest; 1 first prize, 3 second prizes, 4 third prizes and 10 consolation prizes to authors and groups of authors with high scores in the research writing contest; 1 B prize, 3 C prizes, consolation prizes and certificates to 18 songs and 10 poems; 2 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 6 third prizes and 10 consolation prizes to the beautiful photo pano contest.

A large number of officers and soldiers from agencies and units watched and cheered at the program.

On this occasion, the Military Region 5 Command awarded certificates of merit to 6 agencies and units with good achievements in organizing and participating in competitions to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Military Region 5's Armed Forces Tradition Day.
