In early October, at the training ground of Battalion 1 (Regiment 244), officers and soldiers are working hard to prepare for the upcoming comprehensive tactical exercise. Carrying out the "dual" task of both training and preparing forces and means to participate in preventing, combating and overcoming the consequences of storm No. 10, officers and soldiers are determined and highly focused on performing the task.

Sergeant Nguyen Manh Tung, Squad Leader of Squad 3, Platoon 1, Company 1, Battalion 1, said: “Due to heavy rain, these days, we have to focus on consolidating fortifications to prepare for the exercise. Besides, I actively practice combat techniques and tactics to successfully complete the battalion-level exercise task. Despite the difficulties and hardships, we all clearly identify our responsibilities, strive to compete, and contribute to the overall achievements of the unit.”

Improving the quality of training has always been one of the top goals of the Emulation Movement for Victory of Regiment 244. Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Dinh Cuong, Political Commissar of Regiment 244, said: “The Party Committee and the Regiment's command always attach importance to and promote breakthroughs in improving the quality of training. We determine to direct the emulation movement to build motivation and determination for officers and soldiers in training, focusing on improving the qualifications of officers directly training.”

In order for the emulation movement in training to be implemented in a practical manner and deeply penetrate into the actions of each soldier, the inspection and scoring of the emulation teams is always focused on by Regiment 244. Captain Nguyen Van Ngoan, Company Commander, Company 1, Battalion 1 said: "Every day, the company's emulation team scores each individual, squad, and platoon on awareness, responsibility, and style during training. The results of each day are the basis for the company to evaluate and classify the emulation for each collective and individual in the unit, thereby raising the awareness and responsibility of each officer and soldier throughout the training process."

Thanks to the motivation from the Determination to Win Emulation Movement, since the beginning of the year, officers and soldiers of Regiment 244 have achieved many achievements and results in training, combat readiness, and participation in competitions and sports. The Regiment prepared and practiced command exercises - one-sided agency, one level on the map, command exercises - one-sided agency, two levels on the map and in the field with Division 395 (Military Region 3) to achieve the set goals and requirements, ensuring safety; organized tactical exercises with air bullets in platoon-level combat for second-year soldiers with high results and absolute safety; practiced the transition to combat readiness in 2025 close to reality and safely; participated in the Military Region-level new soldier training sports competition, winning first prize; The competition for excellent military officers of companies and battalions in the Military Region resulted in 2 excellent comrades, 1 comrade won third prize, and ranked second in the block of provinces, cities, Military Schools, and Division 350.

Not only focusing on improving the quality of training, the 244th Regiment's Determination to Win Emulation Movement is also closely linked with the implementation of major campaigns and movements such as the Campaign "Promoting tradition, dedicating talent, worthy of being Uncle Ho's soldiers" in the new period; promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in conjunction with the emulation movement "The Army joins hands to build new countryside"... Thanks to that, it motivates officers, employees and soldiers in the unit to comprehensively complete tasks in all aspects of work. 100% of officers and soldiers of the 244th Regiment have steadfast political will, are confident in their work, and have a good understanding of their assigned duties and responsibilities.

Not only that, the unit also actively participated in the research contests launched by the levels, achieved high results, participated in the Research Contest on the 80th Anniversary of the Military Region 3's Traditional Day, with 1 individual being awarded the A prize by the Quang Ninh Provincial Military Command and the Military Region. Regiment 244 carried out the program "Tet with love between the army and the people" well, wrapping 120 banh chung cakes to give to 30 poor households and policy families in Nam Khe ward, Uong Bi city, Quang Ninh province (now Vang Danh ward, Quang Ninh province). Logistics and technical work were timely and sufficient for the unit to complete regular and unexpected tasks.
