These types of clips are no longer strange to audiences who often go to the cinema. If in the past they were made with familiar, simple graphic clips, recently producers have invested a lot in making "house rules" clips with their own mark, more or less related to the upcoming work, as a way to promote and make audiences more curious about the film.
For example, to prepare for the movie Mang me di bo officially released in theaters from August 1, the producer released a "house rules" clip longer than 1 minute, inspired by the golden age of DVD programs such as Mua bui and performed in karaoke format. To the melody of the familiar song Le da , the cast of Mang me di bo including Hong Dao, Tuan Tran, Lam Vy Da, Hai Trieu, Quoc Khanh... transformed the lyrics to point out things that should not be done in the cinema. The special point is that the actors all appear with the same appearance as in the movie and interact with each other very humorously. Not stopping there, the font, color and effects... are all designed with a strong 1990s feel, showing the current youth's grasp of the retro trend.

Previously, films such as The Four Guardians, Once Upon a Time, There Was a Love Story, Mai, and Flip Side 7: A Wish... also had similar forms of promotion. The "house rules" clips all took advantage of the setting, cast, and character personalities of the original work, thereby bringing unique creations. The quality of the "house rules" clip became an indispensable part of the promotion process. However, currently, only works with large investments have their own "house rules" because the cost of showing them in theaters is quite high, as this is considered a separate TVC advertisement.
However, because of the limited content and limited duration, it is not easy to make clips that are "unique" and still leave an impression. Fortunately, each film has a different color and story, so this helps the clips not to be duplicated. For example, Mang Me Di Bo has exploited very well the song Le Da , which the main character played by actress Hong Dao in the film will sing, or in Ngay Xua Co Mot Chuyen Tinh, the setting of the "grandparents' time" has returned, making the audience excited. The previous film Mai innovated with a one-shot camera that is quite rare in Vietnamese cinema, while Song Song took advantage of the news format... It cannot be denied that these "house rules" footage is a very good way to help the film get closer to a wider audience.
