Yesterday, the Hanoi Police Club announced the list of 23 players participating in the opening match of the C2 Asian Cup against Bejing Gouan in China. Notably, captain Quang Hai was not on the list of players registered for the police team.

Coach Mano Polking's move surprised many people because Quang Hai is in good form at the beginning of the season. Most recently, the midfielder born in 1997 scored the opening goal against Hai Phong Club in round 6 of V-League.
It is unclear why coach Polking left Quang Hai out of the squad. Most likely, he wanted to save the player’s energy before the match against Cebu (Philippines) in the Southeast Asian Cup C1 at Hang Day Stadium on September 24.
Most likely, foreign player Stefan Mauk will take on the role of conductor of Hanoi Police Club in the match against Bejing Gouan. In addition to his passing ability, the Australian player also has the ability to shoot from a distance very well. Last year, the player born in 1995 scored 9 goals for Adelaide United Club in the Australian Championship.
In addition to Quang Hai, Coach Polking also did not include the name of Vietnamese-American player, Brandon Ly, in the registered list. However, the club still has enough quality faces such as Hugo Gomes, Vitao, Artur, Quang Vinh, Viet Anh or Alan to prepare for the match with Bejing Gouan.
The match between Hanoi Police Club and Bejing Gouan will take place at 7:15 p.m. on September 18. There are two other teams in this group, Macarthur (Australia) and Tai Po (Hong Kong, China). The top two teams will qualify for the next round.
