Quang Nam adjusts entrance exam scores for grade 10 at some high schools

According to the explanation, the reason is that there is an adjustment in the admission score for grade 10 in the 2025-2026 school year of Quang Nam Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities according to two admission groups: ethnic minorities and Kinh people, leading to a change in the admission score of some non-specialized high schools.

Specifically, at Quang Nam Province Ethnic Minority Boarding High School, the benchmark score for ethnic minority students is 17.68; for Kinh students is 20.08.

The first-choice standard score (NV1) of public high schools was adjusted, with two schools increasing their scores, including Quang Trung High School (Dong Giang) 13.0 points (up 0.4 points); To Huu High School (Nam Giang) 11.75 points (up 0.2 points); schools decreasing their scores include Hiep Duc High School 19.45 points; Tran Phu High School (Hiep Duc) 16.43 points; Nong Son High School (Que Son) 18.38 points; Que Son High School 16.2 points; Tay Giang High School 13.2 points; Ly Tu Trong High School (Thang Binh) 14.55 points. The second-choice standard score (NV2) of each school is 2.0 points higher than the NV1 standard score.

The admission score for grade 10 at Nguyen Binh Khiem and Le Thanh Tong High Schools for the Gifted is the expected score (before the review). After the review results are available, the score can be adjusted to ensure that each class has no more than 35 students as prescribed.

After the admission results are available, any high school that still has a shortage of students will be allowed to enroll additional students. Candidates who do not pass NV1 and NV2 can apply for additional admission to any high school that still has a quota in the province.

The total enrollment target for grade 10 in 48 high schools is 15,716, of which 15,197 are admitted through entrance exams and 519 are admitted directly.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Binh Khiem High School for the Gifted recruited 311 students (the History class only had 31 students); Le Thanh Tong High School for the Gifted 315 students; Quang Nam Province Ethnic Minority Boarding High School 175 students (17 Kinh people, 158 ethnic minorities).
