In 2025, localities and units in Quang Tri province handed over more than 2,500 citizens to military and police units, achieving 100% of the assigned targets, ensuring safety and compliance with the law. In 2026, the Government is expected to assign Quang Tri province the target of recruiting 2,680 citizens to hand over to the Army and Police units. This is also the first year of military recruitment when implementing two-level local government; in which many contents are transferred and decentralized to the commune level and the Regional Defense Command.

To improve quality and ensure meeting targets, the Provincial People's Committee requires all levels, sectors and localities to strengthen leadership and direction, promote the role and responsibility of the entire political system in organizing and implementing military recruitment.
