In the spirit of celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day, September 2, Nha Nam Publishing House has introduced to readers a special publication: "Vietnam's National Names Through the Ages", created by artist Tat Sy.

Large double-sided publication (60x100cm) can be hung like a painting or folded like a screen.

One side printed three representative copies of the Declaration of Independence of the nation: Nam Quoc Son Ha, Binh Ngo Dai Cao and the 1945 Declaration of Independence.

The other side is an illustration of the national name of Vietnam through the dynasties, with symbols representing each historical period, such as the Imperial Academy for Dai Viet under the Ly Dynasty or the Nine Urns for Dai Nam under the Nguyen Dynasty.

Painter Tat Sy combined the traditional pattern “Fire and Clouds” with the image of a bronze drum and a yellow star on a red background, evoking the flow from Van Lang to today’s Vietnam.

The program of giving away publications of Vietnam's national names through the ages takes place at Nha Nam bookstore from now until September 2.

The publication is not only a work of art but also a tribute to readers on the occasion of the National Day.
