Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway Project is one of the key projects, a strategic project of the country.

On the morning of August 28, comrade Nguyen Hong Hai, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee chaired a working session to listen to a report on the implementation status as well as the site clearance work of the North-South Expressway Construction Investment Project, Western section, Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh (Lam Dong).

Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh Expressway has a total length of 124.13 km, passing through two provinces of Lam Dong and Dong Nai. This is not only a simple traffic project but also a strategic artery, creating the fastest and most effective connection route, promoting socio -economic development.

The project is divided into 5 sub-projects, with a scale of 4 lanes, a design speed of 100 - 120 km/h. Of which, Dak Nong province (old) is in charge of two sub-projects, including: Component project 2 - Investment in construction of service roads and overpasses across the province, with a preliminary investment of about 338 billion VND from the local budget; Component project 4 - Compensation, support and resettlement, with a total investment of about 662 billion VND.

According to the report of Project Management Board 3, the progress of implementing component projects under the responsibility of Dak Nong province (old) still faces many challenges.

Specifically, Component Project 2 has been allocated 32.5 billion VND, but so far only 6,217 billion VND has been disbursed, reaching a rate of 19.13%; Component Project 4 has a land use plan and has been allocated 217.5 billion VND.

One of the biggest problems pointed out by Project Management Board 3 is the overlap between the area for implementing the expressway project and the bauxite planning, causing difficulties in site clearance.

In addition, determining the total investment is also difficult due to fluctuating site clearance costs.

Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai delivered a concluding speech at the working session.

Faced with the above difficulties, Comrade Nguyen Hong Hai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, gave drastic instructions to resolve them. He requested Project Management Board 3 and communes to organize meetings with people, collect opinions to make reasonable calculations on investing in service roads and overpasses, ensuring benefits for people on both sides of the road.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested Project Management Board 3 to review the entire area of ​​land clearance. Departments, branches and consulting units must urgently complete documents and legal procedures. At the same time, assess the project's impact on mineral planning and do a good job of building resettlement areas.

Regarding Component Project 4, he requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to urgently research and provide specific instructions so that Project Management Board 3 has a basis for effective implementation.
