Mong Cai Ward 1: Clearing land to create clean land to attract and implement key projects

Mong Cai 1 Ward has been identifying site clearance as a strategic and key task to expand development space, attract investment and implement key projects.

Officers of Mong Cai 1 ward inspected the site clearance work of the investment project to build the roundabout area on the road leading to Bac Luan II bridge.

After arranging administrative units and implementing the 2-level local government model, Mong Cai 1 ward has proactively reviewed and adjusted the general planning of Mong Cai Border Gate Economic Zone, related zoning and detailed planning. All of this is to ensure consistency and conformity with the local socio-economic development orientation, while prioritizing the selection of driving projects to focus on implementation in 2025.

Key projects that are being accelerated include: Investment project to build the roundabout area on the approach road to Bac Luan II bridge; investment project for the box culvert along the approach road to Bac Luan II bridge; housing project in the extended Hoa Binh Avenue urban area; urban area on both sides of the approach road to Bac Luan II bridge... These are all key infrastructure projects, creating a foundation for urban, commercial and service development.

Identifying land acquisition as the “key to success” to maximize the geographical advantage, Mong Cai 1 ward has implemented this work synchronously and effectively with the participation of the entire political system and the consensus of the people. During the land acquisition process, the steps of compensation, support and resettlement were all carried out in accordance with legal regulations, publicly and transparently, ensuring the rights of affected households. The seriousness, responsibility and respect for the legitimate rights of the people have created a high consensus, helping the land acquisition work to proceed smoothly.

With the viewpoint of "having clean land can have big projects", the ward persistently aims to create clean land fund associated with synchronous infrastructure investment, thereby creating conditions for investors to confidently implement projects, contributing to changing the urban face, promoting rapid and sustainable socio-economic development.

In the coming period, a series of key projects will be implemented in Mong Cai 1 ward. Typical examples include: BT project of Bac Luan II bridge approach road; Hai Hoa commercial - service - sports urban area; Urban area on both sides of Bac Luan II bridge approach road (phase 3); Industrial complex and Industrial cluster No. 01, 02 Luc Lam; Northern Luc Lam industrial park; Smart border gate project; and many public investment projects such as Bac Luan III bridge, expansion of Bac Luan II approach road, routes connecting the State Bank roundabout with Bac Luan II area and expressway interchange...

These are all strategic projects, not only promoting the development of border gate economy, trade, and logistics, but also creating strong momentum for urbanization and improving people's quality of life.

Along with site clearance work, the Mong Cai 1 ward government is committed to creating the most favorable conditions for investors. Administrative procedures are resolved quickly and transparently; information on planning and development plans is fully provided. The ward also proactively coordinates to remove difficulties and obstacles for investors and contractors, in order to speed up the progress of projects.

The determination and support of the local government has been, is and will continue to be an important factor in attracting domestic and foreign investors to Mong Cai 1, contributing to realizing the goal of developing a modern and dynamic border city.

Implementing the two-level local government model, land fund development centers and construction investment project management boards at district, town and city levels (except for the two special economic zones of Van Don and Co To) were merged into one department under the two regional construction investment project management boards of the province.

Since the application of the 2-level government model, many new and flexible approaches have been implemented, bringing about clear results, facilitating the progress of projects; mobilizing maximum human resources to focus on key attacks regardless of administrative boundaries has created initial results, removing bottlenecks in site clearance work. Thereby, promoting investment attraction, accelerating the progress of public projects, and promoting the province's economic growth in the coming time.
