Be proactive early, prepare from afar
The road leading to Diem Mac Kindergarten (Phu Dinh Commune) is filled with flowers and bright red flags. Teachers are busy decorating classrooms and arranging tables and chairs. Entering the new school year 2025-2026, the joy is multiplied for the school's staff, teachers and students, when the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army has just sponsored and handed over a 2-storey classroom building with 6 rooms, worth over 5 billion VND.
Next door, Hoang Ngan Secondary School (Phu Dinh Commune) was also sponsored by the unit to build a multi-purpose building and school gate with a total value of over 5 billion VND. The new, spacious constructions contribute to solving the needs of teaching and learning, and at the same time are a great spiritual gift, encouraging teachers and students before the new school year.
Not only the two schools above, currently 100% of educational institutions in the province are urgently completing preparations for the new school year. Staff, teachers, and parents join hands with love and responsibility to bring students the best learning environment. One of the important highlights is the increased investment in facilities, creating a foundation for educational innovation.

Implementing the Project to ensure facilities for public kindergartens and general schools in the period of 2021-2025, Thai Nguyen has built over 2,000 new classrooms, 1,600 functional rooms and many auxiliary works; purchased over 7,000 computers, 7,500 sets of minimum teaching equipment and more than 23,000 other equipment. The total implementation cost is 4,828 billion VND.
Thanks to that, up to now, the rate of solid classrooms in the whole province has reached 88.46%; 742/952 schools have met national standards (equal to 77.94%). Many schools have been equipped with smart classrooms, interactive boards, STEM rooms, creating favorable conditions for innovating teaching and learning methods...
In the 2025-2026 school year, Thai Nguyen will have 975 educational establishments with 14,280 groups and classes. Including 351 kindergartens, 263 primary schools, 287 secondary schools, 51 high schools and vocational education - continuing education centers (VET - GDTX), and GDTX centers.
Currently, 90% of schools in the province arrange for students to study one shift per day, and 10% of schools arrange for students to study two shifts per day. This is the first school year that the province and the whole country have implemented a tuition-free policy for public students from kindergarten to high school according to the National Assembly 's Resolution.
Along with that, studying 2 sessions/day is implemented synchronously at all levels of education - a big step forward to ensure fairness, improve quality and create more comprehensive learning conditions for students.
This new policy has received consensus and excitement from parents. Ms. Nguyen Thi Mai, Phan Dinh Phung Ward, shared: My child is in 8th grade at Tan Thinh Secondary School this year. Starting from this school year, he and his friends will be exempted from tuition fees. This is a humane policy, demonstrating concern and investment for future generations. We, parents, believe that the quality of education will be increasingly improved.

Teaching staff - the center of innovation
If the facilities are the foundation, the teaching staff is the center that determines the quality of education. According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Thinh, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, the provincial education sector currently has over 29,580 managers, teachers, and employees, including 26,017 on the payroll, 2,466 labor contracts according to Decree 111/2022/ND-CP, and 1,100 fixed-rate contracts.
The total number of managers in public educational institutions is 2,244; the total number of teachers in public educational institutions is 24,457; the total number of staff at all levels is 2,792. The rate of qualified teachers is up to 98.21%, of which 33.54% are above standard...
The recruitment and addition of teachers has also been carried out transparently and promptly. This school year, the province recruited 906 more teachers, and flexibly transferred and assigned them to reduce local shortages.
In addition, the province coordinates with departments and branches to implement contract policies according to Decree 111/2022/ND-CP, supporting funding sources for educational institutions to hire teachers, ensuring balance of staff at all levels.

Before the new school year, the Department of Education and Training organized training courses for teachers on new programs, textbooks, teaching methods to develop capacity and skills in applying information technology.
Many schools have also proactively invited experts and university lecturers to exchange and hold professional seminars. This spirit of learning and creativity is contributing to building a solid team of teachers with the capacity to meet the requirements of fundamental and comprehensive educational innovation.
Along with professional work, ensuring school safety is always focused on: safety of facilities, food safety in meals, traffic safety... are implemented synchronously. Many boarding schools also increase inspection of food sources and kitchens, helping parents feel secure when sending their children to school.
Thanks to the synchronous efforts, Thai Nguyen's educational targets have all reached high levels: 99.99% of 6-year-old children enter grade 1, the junior high school graduation rate is 99.99%, 100% of communes and wards have completed universal primary education level 3 and universal secondary education level 2. These figures clearly reflect the efforts of the entire sector, and at the same time affirm the role of the teaching staff - the silent "fire-bearers" in the career of educating people.
Towards a modern, humane education
Entering the new school year, the Thai Nguyen Education sector not only stops at maintaining and improving quality, but also aims to build a modern, humane, and integrated educational environment. Digital transformation is promoted with online learning management systems, electronic science warehouses, school management software, and increased application of artificial intelligence in teaching.

In addition, experiential activities, scientific research, life skills education and preservation of traditional culture are focused on, contributing to forming a generation of dynamic, creative and integrated students while still preserving their identity.
Along with intellectual education, training in revolutionary ideals, ethics and lifestyle is maintained regularly.
Students are nurtured with qualities of politeness, friendliness, honesty, and responsibility; at the same time, equipped with skills to prevent school violence, abuse, drowning, and injuries.
Faced with the complex impacts of climate change, schools in mountainous and highland areas have also proactively developed evacuation plans to ensure student safety in the event of unusual situations.
In the bustling atmosphere before the new school year, one can clearly feel the consensus and determination of the entire political system, the education sector and the whole society. Teachers, students and parents all place their trust and hope for a successful school year.
Today's careful preparations not only affirm the responsibility of the education sector, but also demonstrate the aspiration to build an innovative, creative, humane, and integrated education system - where each school is a happy home, nurturing the future of the country.
With comprehensive readiness in terms of facilities, staff, curriculum and school safety, Thai Nguyen Education sector has firmly entered the new school year 2025-2026.
Believe that today's efforts will be rewarded with generations of mature students, with courage and knowledge, contributing to the sustainable development of the homeland and country.
In the 2025-2026 school year, the Thai Nguyen Education sector has set many important goals, such as: The rate of mobilizing 3-5 year old preschool children reaches 99% or more, 5 year old children reaches 100%; the rate of 6 year old children entering grade 1 is absolute; 10th grade enrollment reaches over 80%; the rate of schools meeting national standards increases to nearly 80%. At the same time, the province focuses on training high-quality human resources, especially technical workers to meet business needs, linking vocational education with innovation and international integration... |
