For Le Ngoc Ky Duyen (23 years old, living in Ho Chi Minh City), the happiness of young people is to learn, dare to dream and dare to act.
Ky Duyen graduated with honors from Fulbright University Vietnam with a major in Psychology and Social Sciences . She is the leader of the EM-IN project with the goal of improving children's social-emotional skills.
"Play to learn - learn like play"
The EM-IN project specializes in creating educational toys and organizing classes. The "play to learn - learn like playing" format creates conditions for children to easily accumulate practical values. According to Ky Duyen, EM-IN aims to help children cultivate their mental health and emotional intelligence (EQ). That is the premise for them to develop healthily and become useful citizens for society.

EM-IN's predecessor was a student project that organized EQ classes for orphanages. Realizing that classes alone were not enough to create a lasting impact on children, Duyen and her friends researched and created attractive, familiar toy products. With a team of 7 members, the young people divided their work closely to ensure smooth operations. Currently, EM-IN is taking care of products for primary school students, focusing on helping children name and manage their emotions. Previously, EM-IN introduced a game set called "Know yourself, know others" for children aged 8 and older to improve their emotional vocabulary and learn to use them daily. The game is for groups of 2-6 people, suitable for children to play together or with parents and adults in the house.
Young people are full of energy and want to create useful values for the community.
Duyen said: "The concept of social-emotional competence is not very popular, so EM-IN needs to make a lot of effort to influence the awareness of the majority." According to her, modern life is full of pressure, making emotional problems worse. Improving social-emotional competence helps individuals behave with themselves, with others, interact and participate in social activities more effectively. Through beautifully designed games and lively gameplay, children will grasp the core key to open the door to explore their inner self as well as know how to observe and empathize with the world around them. From there, improve self-awareness, master emotions, understand society, listen actively, build relationships and make responsible decisions.
Desire to contribute
Since her university days, Ky Duyen has had impressive achievements. In addition to scientific works published in international journals, Duyen is also the President of the Psychology Club and the Mental Health Ambassador at school.
The process of serious study and constant self-affirmation has helped her gain more courage to pursue her dream. Duyen is currently working at the Digital Transformation Project in Education of Google for Education in Vietnam and the Southeast Asia - Pacific region. Despite her busy schedule, she still devotes time and passion to EM-IN as well as contributes to other social projects. These are all non-profit activities, focusing on the goal of creating positive impacts for the community.
Duyen believes that age is never a barrier for those with strong will. When you have a good idea, a clear plan and true passion, whether young or old, you can still get started. "However, it is necessary to balance intuition, reason and ability to make decisions. At any age, studiousness and modesty play a big role in helping me improve myself and, together with the team, fulfill the set mission" - Duyen affirmed.
Duyen's concern is how to make EM-IN create a larger and more widespread impact. Recently, the group received a 50 million VND sponsorship from an international educational organization. The group continues to apply to competitions and startup innovation funds to seek resources to support increasingly better operations and production. With the support of talented, enthusiastic and trustworthy Gen Z colleagues, Duyen is confident in facing all challenges. "The important thing is that we are always ready to learn and move forward," she emphasized.
