After 3 auctions, license plate 30K-999.99 is only worth more than 22 billion VND

In the car license plate auction on the morning of September 26, the license plate with five 9s in Hanoi area code 30K-999.99 received the highest bid of VND22,370 billion.

This license plate attracted attention when it was auctioned for a record high price of 75.275 billion VND last January. However, the winning bidder later withdrew the deposit. Returning to the auction floor 3 months later, the license plate 30K-999.99 continued to be auctioned at 30.65 billion VND but the customer did not fulfill the payment obligation.

License plate 30K-999.99 won auction for more than 22 billion VND

According to the representative of the Traffic Police Department, the auction of car license plates has been going on for more than 220 days. The total number of license plates put up for auction is over 1.26 million; the number of successfully auctioned license plates is over 35,500.

The total value of the auctioned assets is more than 3,280 billion VND. The total amount that the auction winner paid is 3,026 billion VND.

In addition to 30K-999.99 being bid on this morning, many other license plates were bid on at high prices such as: 51K-888.88 (15.265 billion); 30K-555.55 (14.495 billion); 11A-111.11 (8.780 billion); 72A-777.77 (6.850 billion); 88A-666.66 (6.705 billion); 36A-999.99 (5.285 billion).

Since September 5, relevant units have implemented a plan to auction 388,389 more car license plates for the fifth auction. This list of license plates includes all 63 provinces and cities. Of which, Hanoi has more than 56,000 license plates, Ho Chi Minh City has nearly 54,000 car license plates.

According to current regulations, the starting price of each license plate is 40 million VND, with price steps of 5 million VND.
