More than 47 thousand resettlement plots needed
To meet the development needs, in recent times, Dong Nai has identified investment in construction to synchronize the infrastructure system, especially traffic infrastructure, as one of the strategic breakthrough tasks. Therefore, a series of provincial roads, expressways and beltways have been and are being built in the province such as: Ring Road 3 - Ho Chi Minh City; expressways: Bien Hoa - Vung Tau, Ben Luc - Long Thanh, Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh...
The "wave" of investment in infrastructure in the province will be strongly continued in the coming time when a series of projects have been scheduled to start construction by the province such as: Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City - Thu Dau Mot - Chon Thanh Expressway, elevated road along National Highway 51, Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro extension to Tran Bien ward and Long Thanh International Airport (airport) as well as traffic routes connecting Long Thanh Airport.
According to Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha, 2025 has been identified by Dong Nai province as the year of transport infrastructure. In the following years, investing in the construction of a synchronous and modern transport infrastructure system is also the province's top priority to promote socio -economic development. To implement the projects, the province needs to carry out land acquisition and site clearance. With a series of projects that have been and will be implemented in the coming time, the demand for resettlement land to accommodate households whose land has been acquired in the province is very large.
Chairman of Long Thanh Commune People's Committee Le Hoang Son said: In the commune, there is a national key project, Long Thanh Airport. This project is expected to be put into commercial operation in the first half of 2026. Therefore, in the coming time, in the commune, there will be many projects serving the exploitation of Long Thanh Airport, including traffic projects connecting the airport to be built. Therefore, the demand for resettlement land to resettle people is also very large.
“In the period from 2026 to 2030, the demand for resettlement land in the commune is more than 1,200 lots,” said Mr. Le Hoang Son.
Not only Long Thanh commune, many localities in the province also have a need for resettlement land up to "thousands" of lots such as wards: Tran Bien, Binh Phuoc, Trang Dai, Phuoc Tan and communes: Trang Bom, Dau Giay, Binh Minh, Xuan Loc, An Phuoc, Dai Phuoc, Nghia Trung.
According to Deputy Director of the Provincial Land Fund Development Center Mai Phong Phu, in performing the tasks assigned by the Provincial People's Committee, the unit has compiled the demand for resettlement land to serve projects in the province in the period 2026-2030. Accordingly, the total demand for resettlement land in the province in this period is more than 47 thousand plots of land.
Plan to build 89 resettlement areas in the 2025-2030 period
Currently, the Provincial People's Committee has drafted a plan to invest in the construction of resettlement areas in the province for the period 2026-2030 to create a resettlement land fund. Thereby contributing to solving the actual needs in the future socio-economic development process in the province in general and serving the resettlement arrangement for subjects related to site clearance to implement key projects of the province, of the country, and construction investment projects requiring resettlement arrangement.

According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha, the early construction of resettlement areas plays a decisive role in the progress of land acquisition and site clearance when implementing projects in the province.
According to the Provincial People's Committee, based on the total demand sent by localities and based on the construction investment capital rate and the total construction price of the 2024 structural components of the project announced by the Ministry of Construction in Decision No. 409/QD-SXD (dated April 11, 2025), the total estimated cost to invest in the construction of resettlement areas in the province in the period of 2026-2030 is more than 10 trillion VND.
According to the draft, in the period of 2025-2030, Dong Nai plans to build 89 resettlement areas in the province. In 2025 alone, in addition to the 6 resettlement areas that have started construction, the province will try to start building 7 more resettlement areas. In 2026, Dong Nai province aims to start building 30 more resettlement areas. In the period of 2027-2030, the province will continue to start building 46 more resettlement areas.
