From November to February, Lao Cai enters the real winter with the phenomenon of dense fog covering all the highland areas. Sa Pa, Y Ty or Bac Ha, Mu Cang Chai, Tram Tau... seem to be immersed in a hazy world , where houses and trees only appear dimly through the white fog. Or on the mountain passes in the four great mountain passes of the Northwest, there is a surreal and attractive beauty. This is the moment many photographers seek to get beautiful artistic photos.

On particularly cold days, high mountain peaks such as Fansipan, Y Ty, Mu Cang Chai, Lao Chai are covered in frost and white frost, creating a European-like scene in the heart of Vietnam. Professional photographer Tran Duc Huy said: “I have been to Y Ty three times in December to hunt for frost. Each time, I had to wait and was very lucky to catch the best moment. But when I held those photos in my hand, I felt it was all worth it.”
