Free screening for cardiovascular, kidney and metabolic diseases for more than 1,000 people

Continuing the "CAREME - Love Yourself" program series implemented by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association and AstraZeneca Vietnam, on September 21, in Da Nang city, young volunteer doctors and nurses provided free cardiovascular, kidney and metabolic disease screening for thousands of local people.

According to the World Health Organization, in Vietnam, there are more than 8.7 million adults with chronic kidney disease, accounting for 12.8% of the population. The Vietnam Health Insurance report in 2022 shows that the cost of paying for dialysis is currently at the top of the payment list, estimated at more than 4 trillion VND.

The "CAREME - Love Yourself" program is a digital transformation initiative to support early detection and diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and chronic kidney disease with the desire to help patients access quality medical services, raise awareness of early disease screening and screening for more effective treatment.

Within the framework of the program, at Da Nang Hospital, more than 1,000 people received free examination and screening tests.

Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management ( Ministry of Health ), Vice President of the Vietnam Youth Union, President of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association Ha Anh Duc visited and checked the health of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee visited and presented gifts to a number of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and meritorious people; and presented 10 gifts to patients and children in difficult circumstances.

The organizers presented gifts to disadvantaged children at Da Nang Hospital.

The Ministry of Health and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Young Physicians Association have donated a mobile telehealth screen and an AI system for reading chest X-rays to Da Nang Hospital to help detect tuberculosis and lung cancer more quickly and accurately, helping to improve working conditions for medical staff and practically serve the people.
