Vi Thanh 1 Commune People's Committee proposed to upgrade 2 roads

(CT) - Mr. Nguyen Thanh Ke, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Vi Thanh 1 Commune, Can Tho City, said: Faced with the deterioration of the 13,000-meter Public Service Road and Ba Hieu Public Service Road, the People's Committee of Vi Thanh 1 Commune has submitted a document to the People's Committee of Can Tho City and related departments and branches requesting the upgrading of the two roads.

Service Road 13,000 through Vi Thanh 1 commune is seriously degraded, affecting people's traffic.

According to the report of the People's Committee of Vi Thanh 1 commune, since officially coming into operation, the People's Committee of the commune has reviewed and assessed the current status of the 13,000-meter public service road and the Ba Hieu public service road. Many sections have deteriorated and cannot be patched manually, causing difficulties for people's travel and goods circulation; if not maintained and repaired promptly, it will disrupt traffic. Currently, the People's Committee of Vi Thanh 1 commune has not been allocated capital for the traffic sector to carry out regular maintenance and repair of rural traffic routes in the area, so it is very difficult to repair and upgrade degraded roads.

Therefore, the People's Committee of Vi Thanh 1 commune proposed the People's Committee of Can Tho City, the Department of Finance, the Department of Construction, the Management Board of Investment Projects for Construction of Traffic and Agricultural Works of the City to consider supporting the upgrading and repair of 2 roads. The scale of the upgrade is to repair the sunken road surface and potholes on the road. Specifically, the 13,000 Official Road has a total length of 2.2km, a road surface width of 5.5m, an asphalt road and the Ba Hieu Official Road has a total length of 1.7km, a road surface width of 5.5m, an asphalt road.
