Giving gifts to Agent Orange victims in difficult circumstances

DNO - On the morning of August 9, Chairman of the Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin of Da Nang City Nguyen Van An visited and presented emergency support gifts to 5 Agent Orange victims in difficult circumstances in the city on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam (August 10, 1961 - August 10, 2025) and the Day for Victims of Agent Orange in Vietnam (August 10).

Accordingly, the 5 victims who received the unexpected gifts this time include: Mr. Nguyen Tan Thanh, his children: Ta Minh Tung, Dang Thi Ngoc Tran, Tran Quang Thanh (all residing in Hoa Khanh ward) and Le Dang Ngoc Hung (residing in Ba Na commune, Da Nang city).

Chairman of the Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims of Da Nang City Nguyen Van An sent his regards and best wishes to the victims and hoped that their relatives would continue to overcome difficulties to take good care of the victims' health.

On the same day, DINCO Construction Engineering Joint Stock Company and ST Power Joint Stock Company visited and presented 47 gifts (worth more than 20 million VND) to victims of Agent Orange/dioxin being cared for at the Center for Supporting Victims of Agent Orange and Unfortunate Children of Da Nang City, Facility 2, in Ba Na Commune.

It is known that in Da Nang city there are currently more than 3,300 victims of Agent Orange/dioxin, of which 900 are children.

At the two facilities of the Center for Supporting Victims of Agent Orange and Unfortunate Children of Da Nang City, 90 children who are victims of Agent Orange/dioxin are currently being educated. Every day, the children play, participate in activities, study culture, and learn a trade to improve their intelligence and integrate into the community.
