Donate bicycles and school supplies to disabled students

On October 17, the Association for the Support of the Disabled, the Poor and the Protection of Children's Rights of Tay Ninh province organized a donation of bicycles and school supplies to disabled students and families with severely disabled people in the province.

Chairman of the Association for the Support of the Disabled, the Poor and Protection of Children's Rights of the province Nguyen Van Qua spoke at the ceremony.

Attending the event were Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Tay Ninh province Hoang Thi Thanh Thuy; representatives of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Department of Education and Training, and Vietnam Association for the Assistance of People with Disabilities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial Association for the Support of the Disabled, the Poor and Protection of Children's Rights Nguyen Van Qua said that this was the fourth time the Provincial Association had organized the donation of bicycles to students; to date, the Provincial Association has given 110 bicycles, nearly 2,000 scholarships and school supplies.

Mr. Qua hopes that in the coming time, philanthropists and organizations will continue to accompany the Provincial Association, care for and support people with disabilities in the province.

At the ceremony, the Association for the Support of the Disabled, the Poor and Protection of Children's Rights of Tay Ninh province and delegates presented 20 bicycles and school supplies to disabled students and families with severely disabled people in the province with a total value of 40 million VND.

Ms. Mai Thi Kim Hoang - Project Coordinator of the Vietnam Association for the Disabled - the main sponsor, shared: "From 2015 to now, the Vietnam Association for the Disabled has supported the disabled in Tay Ninh with wheelchairs, wheelchairs, equipment, toilets, and school supplies. Hopefully these gifts will help them overcome difficulties and study well"./.
