Focus on fire and explosion prevention associated with self-managed residential areas

On July 8, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City worked with socio-political organizations of Ho Chi Minh City to summarize the first 6 months of the year and orientation for the last 6 months of 2025. Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City chaired the meeting.

At the beginning of the working session, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc affirmed his great interest in fire and explosion prevention work associated with residential solidarity, self-management solidarity, and safety and affection.

He emphasized that the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City and the city's socio -political organizations must closely, extensively, regularly deploy reminders, control, and urge to prevent fires and explosions.

Recognizing the current reality in Ho Chi Minh City that there are still many old, degraded apartments, compact and shabby residential areas, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc paid attention to propaganda work, regular reminders to prevent fires and explosions early and from afar; as well as promptly reviewing and correcting places that do not ensure fire and explosion prevention.

Regarding some specific tasks from now until the end of the year, comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc noted that the Vietnam Fatherland Front and commune-level socio-political organizations must complete their apparatus and issue coordination regulations and rules to ensure smooth operation.

It clearly defines the coordination mechanism between the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations to better serve the people with the Party Committee and government when implementing the two-level local government model.

All activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations take residential areas as key areas, and wards and communes as the foundation for implementing all activities.

Along with that, strengthen the organization to be streamlined, strong, effective, efficient, and effective, closely linked with the preparation work for the organization of the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at the same level, after the Party Congress at the same level.

Emphasizing the elements of "people know, people discuss, people do, people check, people supervise, people benefit", comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc directed and strengthened supervision to promote activities aimed at serving the people; participating with the government to serve the people better and better.

According to comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc, all activities must be associated with the implementation of patriotic emulation movements, with specific products and works, and the patriotic emulation movement must be associated with building a strong political system.

Regarding the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at the city level, he noted that they must be more proactive in implementing the plans set out from now until the end of the year, in conjunction with the preparation work for the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations at all levels, towards the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, term 2026-2031.

At the same time, complete the regulations on organization, operation of the Mobilization, management and use of the Fund "For the poor", the Fund "For the homeland's seas and islands - For the frontline of the Fatherland" and the Ho Chi Minh City Relief Mobilization Board after the merger.

At the same time, closely review and ensure that regulations are followed to merge, consolidate or terminate any types of funds that are no longer suitable; and cut down on all formal activities and activities that spread resources.

Comrade Nguyen Phuoc Loc also emphasized the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of Ho Chi Minh City in implementing four key resolutions, including: Resolution 57 on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation; Resolution 59 on international integration in the new situation; Resolution 66 on innovation in law-making and enforcement to meet the requirements of national development in the new era; Resolution 68 on private economic development.

Regarding public investment, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of Ho Chi Minh City actively participate in mobilizing people to support and agree on compensation and site clearance for projects; promoting progress and supervising public investment projects.
