Thach Thanh implements agricultural development project to 2030

On the afternoon of January 3, the People's Committee of Thach Thanh district held a conference to deploy the Plan to implement the pilot project on converting crop structure, associated with land accumulation and concentration, digital transformation for high-tech agricultural production in the district by 2030 (referred to as the Project).

Representative of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Thach Thanh district presented the plan to implement the Project.

Accordingly, implementing Decision No. 2598/QD-UBND dated June 21, 2024 of the Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee on approving the Project, Thach Thanh district focuses on developing two key crops including fruit trees and vegetables, fruits in the direction of converting crop structure, accumulating land, forming concentrated, large-scale agricultural production areas, applying high technology with a total area of ​​2,825 hectares (concentrated fruit tree area 2,325 hectares; vegetable and fruit area 500 hectares).

The district assigned specific plans to communes and towns to implement until 2030; at the same time, directed localities to consolidate and improve 25 agricultural service cooperatives to improve operational efficiency, connect cooperatives to production organization and linkage activities, consume products according to the value chain, find markets, and solve output for agricultural products. Form a production linkage chain associated with the consumption of agricultural products in crop restructuring, land accumulation, high-tech production and digital transformation in agriculture. At the same time, open training courses, instruct and guide businesses, cooperatives, and households to access new technology, science and technology in production, and digital transformation in agriculture.

Discussing at the conference, representatives of communes, towns, enterprises and cooperatives in Thach Thanh district assessed the advantages and difficulties in the process of implementing the Project.

Concluding the conference, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thach Thanh district Tran Ba ​​Son requested the district's professional agencies and communes and towns to specifically define the work content, deadline, completion progress, and assigned responsibilities in implementing the Project. Thereby, calling for, attracting, and using legal resources from the State budget, enterprises, and people to invest in implementing approved projects, sub-projects, and models; implementing crop restructuring associated with land accumulation and concentration, digital transformation into high-tech agricultural production, bringing about agricultural economic efficiency to replicate and develop the model in the district.
