Strengthening publishing cooperation between Vietnam and Laos

At the meeting between the delegation of the National Political Publishing House Truth led by Deputy Director - Deputy Editor-in-Chief Vo Van Be, Deputy Director - Deputy Editor-in-Chief and the delegation of the Lao National Book Publishing and Distribution led by Comrade Xaynhaphon Anulat, Director - Editor-in-Chief, the two sides evaluated the results of cooperation between the two publishing houses in the past time and discussed the contents of cooperation in the coming time.

After many years of building and maintaining a special and comprehensive cooperative relationship, the Truth National Political Publishing House has established a close and lasting cooperative relationship with the Lao National Publishing and Book Distribution House. Many valuable Vietnamese publications have been selected and translated and published into Lao, actively contributing to the consolidation and further strengthening of the solidarity, friendship and mutual understanding between the two Parties, the two States and the two peoples.

In particular, implementing the direction of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam , from 2018 to present, the Truth National Political Publishing House has closely and effectively coordinated with the Lao National Book Publishing and Distribution House as well as other Lao agencies to select typical and valuable Vietnamese political theory books to translate and publish in Lao, providing them to the leaders of the Party, State, ministries, branches, localities, and Lao socio-political organizations as reference materials and learning experiences.

In the period 2023 - 2025 alone, the Truth National Political Publishing House has published 50 Lao language books, including the valuable book series "Kayxone Phomvihane Collection" (4 volumes). The published books have provided an authentic and reliable source of information, ensuring objectivity and science , updating the latest information on the Party's guidelines and policies, the policies and laws of the Vietnamese State, the practice of innovation in Vietnam and the international context; closely following the needs of Lao readers for reference, study and research, and have been enthusiastically received by Lao officials and Party members.

Also at the meeting, comrade Vo Van Be informed the Lao National Publishing and Book Distribution about the progress of translation, editing, appraisal and publication of books donated to Laos in 2025, and at the same time requested the Lao National Publishing and Book Distribution to continue to coordinate closely in appraising and editing translations so that the 15 titles translated into Lao in 2025 will ensure the progress and quality of publication.

During their stay in Laos, the delegation of the National Political Publishing House visited and worked with the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, the Lao Ministry of Culture and Tourism and a number of Lao agencies and units.
