General Le Hong Anh (nicknamed Ut Anh) is from Kien Giang province, born into a family with a tradition of patriotism, participating in revolutionary activities since the age of 10, and is a cadre who has grown up from the grassroots. He has held important positions in the Party such as Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee, member of the Politburo, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee. He served as Minister of Public Security for 10 years and as Permanent Secretary of the Central Party Secretariat for 5 years. Although he held important positions in the Party, through Pham Chi Thanh's writings, he appears to be a simple, straightforward, responsible person who loves his family, comrades and people. During his work as well as after his retirement, he often made contributions to building his homeland and country. In any position in work as well as in life, Le Hong Anh is always respected and loved by everyone.

Author Pham Chi Thanh was a student of the 2nd course of the Faculty of Literature, Quy Nhon University of Education (now Quy Nhon University). After graduating from university, he was assigned to work at the Office of the Central Party Committee. When General Le Hong Anh assumed the position of Politburo member, Standing member of the Central Party Secretariat, Pham Chi Thanh was appointed as secretary and then assistant to the General. He considered it a great honor and also a heavy responsibility. On the day General Le Hong Anh retired, Pham Chi Thanh started writing the book Thinking of You as an expression of gratitude to his beloved boss.
