Despite being a particularly difficult hamlet, over the past 20 years, Mbe hamlet (Krong Buk commune, Krong Pac district) has maintained the title of cultural hamlet, including 10 consecutive years of being recognized as a district-level cultural hamlet.
Mr. Y Thi Nie, Head of the Front Committee of Mbe village, said that the whole village has 170 households, including 167 Ede households and 3 Tay households. In daily life, people in the village always maintain a relationship of solidarity, closeness, and mutual support.
In addition to the main crop of wet rice, the people in the village also advise each other to change crops, gradually increase the area of perennial crops, and improve production efficiency. Thanks to that, the whole village now has only 7 poor households; the number of well-off and rich households is gradually increasing. Most of the internal roads in the village have been hardened, in addition to the investment of the State, there is also the consensus of the people to contribute labor and donate land. The cultural and artistic movement in the village is also very exciting...

Every year, at the beginning of November, the people in the village eagerly prepare for the Great Unity Festival to review the history and traditions of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, and recognize the results of the patriotic emulation movements in the village. This is also an opportunity for people to get closer together through the sound of gongs, xoang dances, jars of rice wine, and a solidarity meal. “This year, the festival also includes folk games such as rice pounding competitions, water carrying competitions, and kicking soccer balls into the goal on stilts... The festival also has district and commune leaders and affiliated units coming to join in the fun, giving gifts to support poor families and families with elderly people, so the people are very happy and excited. The festival is like adding more motivation for people to develop the economy , join hands to build the village, and maintain the title of a cultural village,” Mr. Y Thi Nie shared.
Meanwhile, in Ba Na village (Ia Jlơi commune, Ea Súp district), in the excitement of changes in life, the Great Unity Festival is an opportunity for people to become closer, more united, and encourage each other to develop the economy. Mr. Y Nip Siu, Head of the Ba Na village front work committee, said that people in Ba Na village used to live scattered throughout the forest area bordering the two provinces of Dak Lak and Gia Lai. In 2002, implementing the Party and State's policy of sedentarization and settlement, local authorities organized and mobilized people to stabilize their lives in two concentrated residential areas.

Up to now, the village has 126 households of the Bana, Jrai, Tay, and Nung ethnic groups. Thanks to the investment attention of the State, the infrastructure has been continuously strengthened; investment programs and policies for ethnic minority areas have been implemented promptly. Especially since the irrigation system was built, people have cultivated two rice crops; grown tobacco; raised buffalo and cows in a concentrated manner, etc., helping their lives become more and more prosperous. Security and order in the village have always been maintained, and the political system has been strengthened. Children have fully benefited from policies on education and health care. The poverty rate of the whole village has maintained an average reduction of 5%/year; over 80% of households have achieved the title of cultural family.
Implementing Directive No. 48-CT/TU, dated May 20, 2024 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on the implementation of Resolution No. 26/NQ-MTTW-DCT, dated November 11, 2023 of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front on improving the quality and effectiveness of organizing the National Great Unity Day in residential areas, this year's Great Unity Day took place enthusiastically in all villages and hamlets. The festival has become a forum for people to participate in building residential areas, an opportunity for Party committees, authorities, and Fatherland Fronts at all levels to get closer to the people, listening to their aspirations from the grassroots.
