Coach Nhat sadly says goodbye to Hanoi Club

"I hope we will still be friends and keep in touch with each other. If you intend to go to Japan to play, I am always ready to be a bridge," coach Teguramori said goodbye to the Hanoi Club players on the training ground.

Coach Teguramori joined Hanoi FC in the second leg of last season with a half-season contract. The Japanese coach helped the capital team have an impressive sprint to finish second overall. After that, his contract was extended by Hanoi FC to continue coaching this season.

However, poor results in both the V-League and the National Cup caused Mr. Teguramori to leave his position early. In the V-League, the former Japanese U.23 coach only helped Hanoi FC get 1 point after 3 matches, ranking 11th, 6 points behind the top 3. In the National Cup, the 0-1 defeat to The Cong Viettel caused Hanoi FC to stop playing right from the preliminary round.

Coach Teguramori is the 8th strategist to say goodbye to Hanoi FC in the past 5 years (11 "general" changes in total). He is one of the foreign coaches with the shortest tenure at the capital team, with a total coaching time of less than 1 season. Mr. Teguramori's tenure is only longer than Coach Park Choong-kyun, who led the capital team for only half a year.

Pressure on replacements

Replacing Mr. Teguramori in the "hot seat" is Mr. Yusuke Adachi, who was previously appointed by Hanoi Club as technical director.

Mr. Yusuke Adachi, born in 1961, is a Japanese expert highly regarded for his expertise. Mr. Adachi has a lot of coaching experience, is knowledgeable about Vietnamese football and has been with the capital team since June 2025.

Mr. Adachi used to work for the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) as a technical director. Leaving VFF, he joined Truong Tuoi Dong Nai Club at the beginning of the 2024-2025 season, becoming the brains in the campaign to "Japanize" the team's leadership and coaching staff. However, Mr. Adachi soon parted ways with the Southeast representative.

"Hanoi Club believes that with the unity and determination of the whole team, along with the support and companionship of the fans, the capital team will soon regain its form," the current V-League runner-up affirmed.
