World oil prices today

World oil prices increased across the board in today's trading session, September 16 (Vietnam time). At 10:15 a.m. (Vietnam time), WTI crude oil was at $67.96/barrel, up $0.21/barrel, or 0.31%. WTI crude oil closed the previous trading session at $67.75/barrel and opened today's session at $68.38/barrel.

Brent crude oil was at $71.77 a barrel, up $0.16, or 0.22%. Brent crude oil closed the previous trading session at $71.61 a barrel and opened today's session at $72.09 a barrel.

Oil prices were volatile last week on reports related to oil demand and the progress of Hurricane Francine in the Gulf of Mexico.

This week, all eyes will be on the US Federal Reserve's two-day policy meeting, starting on September 17. The market is expecting the Fed to cut interest rates sharply. In addition, other important economic data such as regional production data, housing market data, retail sales figures, monetary policy decisions of the Bank of England and the Bank of Japan will also have a certain impact on oil prices.

On September 16, retail gasoline prices according to the price list announced by Petrolimex in region 1 and region 2 (46 provinces and cities currently applying) are as follows:

The above domestic retail prices of gasoline and oil were adjusted by the Ministry of Finance and Industry and Trade in the price management session on the afternoon of September 12. Accordingly, the price of RON 95-III gasoline decreased by VND1,190/liter, E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by VND1,080/liter, diesel oil price decreased by VND930/liter, retail kerosene decreased by VND934/liter, and fuel oil price decreased by VND688/kg.

Discount prices of petroleum products today, September 16, at some domestic petroleum agents are as follows:

PV OIl discounts on September 16 as follows: Oil discount: 1,500 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,150 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 950 VND/liter.

Tu Luc Petroleum discounts on September 16 as follows: Oil discount: 1,450 VND/liter; RON 95 - III gasoline: 1,100 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 900 VND/liter.

MIPEC gasoline discount on September 16: RON 95 - III discount: 1,000 VND/liter; E5 gasoline: 800 VND/liter; oil: 1,600 VND/liter.

Forecast of domestic gasoline prices next period

According to a representative of a petroleum business, domestic petroleum prices will fluctuate according to the world petroleum situation. According to current market developments, it is forecasted that in the next price adjustment period, petroleum prices will likely continue to decrease.

Since the beginning of the year, since the price adjustment session on January 4, gasoline prices have increased 17 times and decreased 19 times. Oil prices have increased 16 times and decreased 20 times.
