More Dong Nai literary works to readers

In particular, the field of literature has made a strong impression, from short stories, novels to poetry, memoirs, theory and criticism... Not only exploiting materials from the history and cultural traditions of Dong Nai, the works also open up many new and emotional perspectives.

Many new publications are coming out.

In the first 9 months of 2025, Dong Nai literature had a large number of published works. Some of the works include: Human Dimension (story collection), Alone in the Street (novel) and A Time of Flowery Youth (story collection) by writer Nguyen Thai Hai; Trang Kieu (novel) by writer Nguyen Duy Hien; Ben kia noi hui (novel) by writer Dao Sy Quang; Strange Stories of Oc's House (story collection) by writer Hoang Ngoc Diep; Cay trong vuon (poetry collection) by poet Minh Ha; Chieu chieu trong vuon (poetry collection) by poet Do Minh Duong; Thinking Near... Thinking Far... by researcher Bui Quang Huy; Long Khanh I Love (photo book) by author Pham Van Hoang (Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association); Hoa no tren dinh doc (autobiography) by author Nguyen Duy Dong...

In the period of 2020-2025, Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association launched the creation and collected more than 30 thousand works in 10 fields of literature and arts. These achievements show rich creativity, efforts to serve all classes of people, contributing to spreading the image of Dong Nai land and people to domestic and international audiences.

Among them, the poetry collection Trees in the Garden (published by the Vietnam Writers Association Publishing House) by poet Minh Ha left its own mark with pages full of lyricism, close to life. The poems in the collection mainly revolve around the love of nature, people and the land of Dong Nai, expressed by the author in a gentle but profound tone. Many poems were composed by the author during the "transitional" period when the two lands of Binh Phuoc (old) and Dong Nai (old) merged, so they contain special emotions: both preserving memories and opening up new hopes.

At the age of 75, writer Nguyen Thai Hai still regularly publishes new works, demonstrating his enduring creativity and unceasing passion for literature. Of the three recently published works, he dedicated two: Bo vo trung pho and Mot thoi tuoi hoa, written for children. Notably, hundreds of his books, after being published, were given to students who love reading in the province, as well as sent to school and community libraries, contributing to spreading the reading culture.

Reading the novel Trang Kieu by writer Nguyen Duy Hien, Vice President of Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association Pham Van Hoang said: “The novel consists of 12 chapters, like 12 tragic slices of fate and transformation. The chapters are not stereotyped but open, full of personal imprints but also full of the times. The work is also the author's sincere gratitude to the team of Trade Union cadres, workers, those who are silently building society with their sweat, faith and kindness.”

Bringing works closer to the people

To introduce new works to readers, many authors such as Pham Van Hoang (Vice President of Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association, Photography Department of Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association); Dao Sy Quang (Literature Department, Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association) ... have organized launching, exchange and signing sessions for works at grassroots cultural institutions. This is not only an opportunity for authors to share their creative journey and artistic inspiration, but also an opportunity for readers to directly approach, listen and ask questions, thereby forming a connection between writers and readers.

In addition to the efforts of each individual, the Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association has proactively coordinated with schools, Dong Nai Library, and Dong Nai Museum to organize seminars, displays, and exhibitions of new books and works. These activities have contributed to bringing literature closer to the public, arousing the love of reading and creating a rich environment for enjoying art.

People's Artist Giang Manh Ha, Vice President of the Vietnam Stage Artists Association, President of the Dong Nai Literature and Arts Association, said: 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of Dong Nai's literature and arts after the country's reunification and is also the year of the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030. Right from the beginning of the year, the association has developed a creative plan, organized many practical activities, and promoted works to create a competitive atmosphere for creativity among artists.

“Many Dong Nai literary and artistic works, including literature, have been exhibited, introduced, and served the people of all walks of life. Many new literary works of Dong Nai have not only been introduced to readers in the province but have also been widely received in many other localities. Thereby, the image of the land and people of Dong Nai has been widely promoted, contributing to enriching the spiritual and social life and affirming the position of Dong Nai literature and art in the general flow of the whole country,” Mr. Ha emphasized.

The birth of dozens of literary works in the first 9 months of 2025 affirms the enduring creativity and dedication of Dong Nai's artists. This is the foundation for the province's literature to continue to spread widely, accompanying the development of society and contributing many new values in the nation's journey of development.
