At the new Phong Chau bridge project, the contractor will maintain 5 construction sites throughout Tet as usual, ensuring completion of the project within 1 year from the commencement date.
Regarding the progress of the new Phong Chau bridge project - National Highway 32C, Phu Tho province, Colonel Nguyen Tuan Anh, Deputy General Director of Truong Son Construction Corporation (the contractor) said that thanks to relatively good preparation from the beginning, the contractor has basically controlled the progress.
Thanks to good preparation in the early stages, the construction output of the new Phong Chau bridge is exceeding the set plan.
"Some items that determine the project's progress, such as dismantling the old Phong Chau bridge; constructing bored piles... are going relatively smoothly. The contractor has controlled the situation and calculated the construction time in detail. Thanks to that, the project's construction output has so far exceeded the plan by about 15 days," Mr. Tuan Anh informed.
Also according to the leader of Truong Son Construction Corporation, in order to ensure the project's progress before December 22, 2025, the immediate goal is that before the small flood in 2025 (a type of flood caused by showers during the small flood season that occurs around the end of May every year), the foundation and the pier must be able to overcome the water surface. On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the contractor has planned to work through Tet.
"5 construction teams (2 teams to construct pillars T4, T5; 1 team to dismantle the old bridge, 1 team to build the approach bridge, 1 team to construct the embankment...) will be maintained as usual to speed up the implementation of the items," Colonel Nguyen Tuan Anh shared.
To meet the completion schedule in 2025, the construction of Phong Chau bridge was carried out by the contractor during holidays and Tet.
According to the approved plan, the new Phong Chau bridge project - National Highway 32C, Phu Tho province is invested in according to the emergency construction order with a total length of nearly 653m.
Of which, the main bridge is more than 383m long (to the abutment).
The road section at both ends of the bridge connecting to the existing road on Lam Thao side is about 113m; on Tam Nong side is nearly 156m.
Starting point at Km 0+00 (about Km 21+50.0 of National Highway 32C avoiding Viet Tri City), in Phung Nguyen Commune, Lam Thao District, Phu Tho Province.
End point at Km 0+652.88 (about Km 18+551.4 National Highway 32C), in Van Xuan commune, Tam Nong district, Phu Tho province.
The bridge is permanently built with reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete with a bridge width of 20.5m suitable for the width of the roadbed.
The total investment of the project is more than 635 billion VND, using the central budget reserve in 2024. Of which, about 100 billion VND is expected to be allocated in 2024; and about 535 billion VND in 2025.
The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025.
