- Contribute thousands of dong, connect millions of hearts
- The hearts of godmothers
- Warmth from "1,000 VND Vegetarian Noodle Shop"
On the first and fifteenth of every month, in front of Lam Tuyen coffee shop in Tam Hung hamlet, Chau Thoi commune , it is unusually bustling. The sound of knives and cutting boards, the sound of laughter, everyone is busy picking vegetables, washing mushrooms, cooking... preparing 200 free vegetarian meals for poor workers, those who are still struggling to make a living.
Ms. Le Thi Hong Tham gives free vegetarian meals to poor workers.
Behind this humane act is Ms. Le Thi Hong Tham, owner of Lam Tuyen coffee shop. For many months, she has regularly spent money to buy ingredients, while members of the Chau Thoi commune youth union joined hands to prepare and distribute meals to the people.
Sharing about this work, Ms. Tham confided: “I just hope that the meals can help people feel warm and feel the sharing. For me, joy does not lie in how much I give, but in being able to maintain a regular act of kindness, sowing more seeds of kindness in life.”
Youth Union members of Chau Thoi commune join hands to cook vegetarian meals to give to people in difficult circumstances.
In Hiep Thanh ward, the spirit of sharing is spread through the program "Zero-VND Meal". Recently, the ward's Youth Union organized the donation of 100 meals including vegetarian bread and water to the disadvantaged people. It is worth noting that all expenses were contributed by benefactors, demonstrating the community's trust and support for the volunteer activities of local youth.
For the recipients, the meals are not only a full meal, but also a sincere encouragement, a warm feeling of love, giving them strength to overcome daily hardships. For the givers, it is the happiness of seeing a bright smile, a motivation to continue to stick together and spread good deeds.
Hiep Thanh ward delegation donated 100 meals including vegetarian bread and water to people in need.
More than the material meaning, activities such as distributing vegetarian meals and “free meals” not only contribute to material care, but also evoke and nurture the good tradition of “helping each other”, “a piece of bread when hungry is worth a whole package when full” in the community. More importantly, these kind deeds have created an environment for union members and young people to practice responsibility, live a useful life, and know how to connect and share more.
Each meal given away is a beautiful story of humanity. From these simple yet persistent actions, kindness is sown, blossomed and spread, contributing to lighting up faith and nurturing compassion in society.
Happiness sometimes comes from the simplest things: a vegetarian meal, a loaf of bread, a glass of cool water… but they contain the heart and love shared. It is these simple things that contribute to making life warmer, society more connected and humane.
