On November 25, the National Assembly continued its 25th working day (8th Session, 15th National Assembly) at the National Assembly House, Hanoi, under the chairmanship of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

Content 1: Under the direction of Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh, the National Assembly discussed in the hall the draft Law on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Advertising. At the discussion session, 17 National Assembly deputies spoke and 01 National Assembly deputy debated. The opinions of the deputies basically agreed with the amendment and supplement of a number of articles of the 2012 Law on Advertising, aiming to contribute to institutionalizing the Party's policies and guidelines on developing cultural industries, including the advertising industry; overcoming the shortcomings and limitations of the current Law.

In addition, delegates focused on discussing the following contents: explanation of terms; rights and obligations of the person delivering the advertising product; voice and writing in advertising; requirements for advertising content of special products, goods and services; impact of advertising on children; advertising in print, radio and television; online advertising; classified advertising; granting construction permits for advertising works; content and principles of outdoor advertising planning; responsibility for developing and directing the implementation of outdoor advertising planning; rights and obligations of advertisers and advertising service providers; responsibility for state management of advertising activities; handling violations in advertising activities; legislative techniques.

At the end of the discussion session, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung spoke to explain and clarify issues raised by National Assembly delegates.

Late in the afternoon, the National Assembly voted to pass the following contents: Law on Notarization (amended); Law on Urban and Rural Planning; Law on Value Added Tax (amended).
