Agree on the content and time of the 19th Session (special session) of the 16th City People's Council

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of August 15, the Standing Committee of the City People's Council held a meeting to agree on the content and time of the 19th Session (special session) of the City People's Council, term XVI, 2021 - 2026. Comrade Pham Van Lap, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Council chaired the meeting.

Also attending were comrades: Nguyen Van Tung, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee; Dao Trong Duc, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Le Khac Nam, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; Bui Duc Quang, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council and representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches, localities and units.

The 19th session of the 16th City People's Council is a thematic session to carry out urgent tasks arising from the practical situation in the direction and administration of the city's socio -economic development.

The meeting is expected to consider and approve the draft Resolutions: 9th adjustment and supplement to the city's medium-term public investment plan for the period 2021 - 2025; 3rd adjustment and supplement to the city's public investment plan in 2024; Support for investment funding for the project to build an office building, multi-function hall and auxiliary works of the Hai Phong City People's Procuracy; Resolution approving additional number of employees and labor contracts receiving state budget salaries to restructure the organizational structure of public service units in 2024; Termination of the validity of Resolution No. 29/NQ-HDND dated December 8, 2017 of the City People's Council on the Planning for the development of the public passenger transport network by bus in the city until 2025, with a vision to 2030; Project to determine rental prices of State-owned houses in newly built apartment buildings in the city; Resolution approving the Project on new rural construction in Hai Phong city for the period 2021 - 2025; Adjusting and supplementing the list of projects requiring land acquisition, the expected state budget capital level for compensation and site clearance in the city in 2024; Investment policy for construction of a number of projects...

Chairman of the City People's Council Pham Van Lap delivered a concluding speech at the meeting.

After listening to opinions and considering the contents proposed by the City People's Committee to be submitted at the Session, concluding the meeting, Chairman of the City People's Council Pham Van Lap agreed to submit to the City People's Council at the 19th Session (special topic) with the contents as proposed by the City People's Committee; the meeting is scheduled to be held on September 17. The Chairman of the City People's Council requested the City People's Committee to direct relevant Departments and branches to absorb opinions at the meeting, complete all documents according to regulations, and ensure progress and quality. During the process of preparing documents, relevant Departments, branches, localities and units closely coordinate with the Committees of the City People's Council to provide timely comments./.
