How long does it take for Ho Van Y to recover?
Ho Van Y has just undergone anterior cruciate ligament surgery on his right knee after an injury sustained during training with the club.
Currently, he has moved to the recovery phase. According to the surgical team, Ho Van Y has a good physical foundation and constitution, and the recovery process is expected to be smoother and faster than normal.

However, the 1997-born goalkeeper still needs at least 6 months to fully recover and therefore will not be able to participate in the 2026 Asian futsal qualifiers taking place in September as well as the 33rd SEA Games taking place next December.
VFF Deputy General Secretary Nguyen Thanh Ha congratulated Ho Van Y on his successful surgery and encouraged him to remain optimistic, focus on treatment to return to the field soon, and continue to contribute to the club as well as the national team.

Ho Van Y is one of the top futsal goalkeepers in Vietnam today. He grew up in the Da Nang futsal team from 2015 to 2017, before joining Thai Son Nam and quickly asserting his role as a mainstay in both the club and the national team.
In 2018, Van Y was listed in the top 10 best futsal goalkeepers in the world . At the 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Lithuania, he played impressively, contributing to bringing the Vietnamese team to the round of 16.
Van Y's excellent performance was highly appreciated by FIFA and he was honored as the best player of the match between Vietnam and the Czech Republic. Wishing goalkeeper Ho Van Y a speedy recovery so that he can continue to accompany Vietnam futsal towards new goals.
