At the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang highly appreciated the visit to Vietnam by the France-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians Group, which took place in the context of the strong development of the Vietnam-France Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
On this occasion, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang thanked the France-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentarians Group at the French Senate for their good sentiments and specific, practical contributions to Vietnam, as well as the development of Vietnam-France relations; and suggested that the Friendship Parliamentarians Groups in each country further promote their bridging role to promote cooperation between the two countries' legislative bodies in particular and Vietnam-France relations in general.

President Alain Cadec and French Senators expressed their impression of the beauty of the country and people, as well as the socio -economic development achievements of Vietnam. Delighted by the historical and cultural ties between the two countries, especially the ancient French architectural works that are still preserved and present in the daily lives of the people, the President of the France-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group affirmed that the French Senate and the France-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group will always pay attention to and promote the bilateral relationship to develop more deeply and widely to match the current level of the France-Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Partnership; affirming their readiness to accompany Vietnam in the new stage of development.
Agreeing with the proposal of Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang, Chairman Alain Cadec affirmed that the two sides need to maximize the potential for economic cooperation, especially in strategic areas such as infrastructure with seaport projects, aviation, high-speed railways, urban transport, etc.; diversify and ensure energy sources; and agree to support the French Parliament to soon ratify the Vietnam - EU Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA).

President Alain Cadec acknowledged Vietnam's efforts in implementing EU recommendations on fishing and promised to speak out to urge the European Commission (EC) to soon remove the IUU yellow card for Vietnamese seafood.
Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang emphasized that Vietnam highly values and appreciates France's support and cooperation in the fields of education , high-quality human resource training, science - technology and innovation, healthcare, culture, archives and conservation... and suggested that the two sides deepen and further expand cooperation in the above fields, including the restoration and promotion of the cultural and historical values of Long Bien Bridge.

On this occasion, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang requested the France - Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group and French Senators, with their role and voice, to continue creating favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community to work, study and integrate well in France.
The two sides agreed to further promote tourism cooperation, people-to-people exchange, Francophone, local connection and organize the 13th Vietnam-France Local Cooperation Conference in France. Regarding the East Sea issue, the two sides reaffirmed the importance of maintaining peace, stability, prosperity and order based on international law, stressed the importance of freedom and safety of navigation and aviation in the East Sea, and supported ASEAN's stance on resolving disputes by peaceful means in accordance with international law, especially the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS 1982).
