Prime Minister tells businessmen: Rich people make rich country

Businesses grow fast but must be sustainable

Within the framework of the Vietnam Private Economic Forum 2025 (VPSF 2025) on the afternoon of September 16, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his wishes to the business community.

According to the Prime Minister , businesses need to strictly comply with the policies and guidelines of the Party and State, demonstrate business ethics and social responsibility.

Enterprises need to accompany the Party, State and people, persistently and steadfastly follow the path of national independence and socialism; create motivation and inspire the spirit of great national unity.

"We must demonstrate the strength of entrepreneurs and contribute to promoting the strength of the nation," the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister hopes that businesses need to combine national strength with the strength of the times; continue to innovate thinking and take decisive action for the benefit of the nation and people. “The strength of domestic and foreign enterprises, the strength of the State and the strength of the people,” said the Prime Minister.

Enterprises need to constantly innovate their thinking for the benefit of the nation, look far and wide, think deeply and do big, grow more and more maturely but also need to develop quickly but sustainably, and accompany the country in the new era.

The Prime Minister said that enterprises not only do business, but are also an organic part, an important subject in building and protecting the country. Enterprises must be pioneers in innovation.

The Prime Minister said that the Government is resolutely implementing Resolution 66 to remove institutional bottlenecks, promote investment in strategic infrastructure projects (highways, airports, ports) and change the status from "management" to "development creation and service to the people". This is an affirmation of a creative, accompanying Government, taking the effectiveness and satisfaction of the people and businesses as a measure.

The head of the Government emphasized: "The Government accompanies. Officials innovate. Infrastructure is smooth. Institutions are creative. Enterprises are pioneers. Vietnam must develop."

The Prime Minister said: "If you are successful, your country is successful. If you are rich, your country is rich. If you are weak, your country cannot be rich and strong."

"Each young entrepreneur mentors two new entrepreneurs"

Mr. Dang Hong Anh, Chairman of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association, Chairman of VPSF 2025, affirmed the spirit of "co-creation" as the State creates a transparent playing field and rules; businesses proactively compete and innovate; together protect a fair market.

Accordingly, the private business community commits to pioneering the implementation of strategic initiatives with great influence. These are specific actions of strategic significance that the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association earnestly proposes and commits to pioneering implementation.

Specifically, the implementation of the national target program to support and convert 5 million individual business households into enterprises, with a close and substantive public-private partnership model.

The Chairman of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association proposed that the Prime Minister direct the role of "creating a launching pad", through strong enough incentive policies, open capital access mechanisms and streamlined procedures so that business households have enough confidence and initial resources to step through the business threshold.

"On the part of the business community, we are committed to being a leading companion. To concretize this role, the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association would like to initiate and commit to implementing the program "Each young entrepreneur mentors 2 new entrepreneurs" in 2025," said the Chairman of the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association.

Specifically, each young entrepreneur member will take on the role of mentor for at least two entrepreneurs who have just transformed their model or are just starting out. The program will focus on sharing practical management experiences, supporting strategic orientation and especially helping them prevent operational mistakes that young businesses often encounter.

Mr. Hong Anh believes that the combination of the Government's momentum-creating policies and a genuine guiding mechanism from the community will be the most effective solution for 5 million individual business households to not only be large in number of registrations but also strong in internal capacity.

"This is how we together create a generation of talented and knowledgeable entrepreneurs, contributing to the sustainable and inclusive development of the country," he said.
