Kinhtedothi - On the evening of November 28, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh handed over the appointment decision and assigned tasks to Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang and Minister of Transport Tran Hong Minh.

Also attending were members of the Politburo , members of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Ministers, members of the Government, leaders of ministries, branches and central agencies.

At the event, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented the President's decisions appointing Nguyen Van Thang to the position of Minister of Finance and Tran Hong Minh to the position of Minister of Transport.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh congratulated the two newly appointed Ministers; at the same time acknowledged and commended the important contributions of Comrade Ho Duc Phoc in successfully completing his duties as Minister of Finance and continuing to hold the position of Deputy Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the tasks of the Minister of Finance and the Minister of Transport play an important role in the overall tasks of the Government, especially in accelerating and making breakthroughs to complete tasks and targets in 2024 and 2025 and implementing major tasks to turn around the situation and change the state in the coming time.

Stating that in the coming time, in the context of many opportunities but also many challenges, the Government's tasks are very heavy, the Prime Minister emphasized the viewpoint that resources originate from thinking, motivation originates from innovation, and strength originates from the people.

At the same time, the Prime Minister noted that the two Ministers and the Government should perform well the tasks of reviewing, arranging, streamlining the apparatus, reducing staff; and doing better in preventing corruption, negativity, and waste.

Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang and Minister of Transport Tran Hong Minh both emphasized that the newly assigned responsibility is a great honor, but also a very heavy responsibility before the Party, State and People; affirming that they will constantly strive, maintain and promote solidarity, unanimity, and make efforts with the Government to excellently complete the assigned tasks.
