Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet was born on October 20, 1977, in Koh Thmar hamlet, Memot district, Tboung Khmum province. In 1995, he joined the Royal Cambodian Army (RCA). In 2008, he was promoted to the rank of Colonel and appointed Commander of the Special Anti-Terrorism Force. In 2013, he was promoted to the rank of General (three stars) and appointed Deputy Commander of the Joint Corps of the RCAF. In 2018, he was appointed Deputy Commander-in-Chief and Commander of the RCAF Army; he was elected by the Central Committee of the Cambodian People's Party (CPP) to the Standing Committee of the CPP Central Committee (December 2018). In 2020, he was appointed by the Central Committee of the CPP to concurrently hold the position of Head of the CPP Central Committee's Youth Affairs Committee. In 2021, he was recommended by the Central Committee of the CPP as a candidate for the future Prime Minister of the CPP. In 2023, he was promoted to the rank of General (four stars). In August 2023, he was appointed by King Norodom Sihamoni as Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia for the 7th term (2023-2028) and granted the title Kitti Tesa Phibal Bandith. In September 2023, he was granted the title Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei by King Norodom Sihamoni.
Samdech Moha Bovor Thipadei Hun Manet graduated from West Point Military Academy (USA) in 1999, Master of Economics from New York University (USA) in 2002 and PhD in Economics from Bristol University (UK) in 2008; Buddhist; married with 3 children.
