Thuy Linh's opponent - tennis player Cai Yan Yan (China, ranked 107th in the world ) although having a low ranking and not being seeded, has shown very good performance since the beginning of the tournament.

In the first set, Thuy Linh entered the game confidently and made accurate shots to keep up with her opponent. However, after the first balanced points, Cai Yanyan took advantage of her height and tenacious play to widen the gap.

Although the Vietnamese player continuously tried to shorten the gap with quick attacks, his experience and ability to control the tempo of the match helped Yanyan maintain the lead and close set 1 with a score of 21-17.

In the second set, Thuy Linh made an impressive comeback. She started with a series of consecutive points, quickly creating a gap and leading 11-6 at the break. However, towards the end, Cai Yanyan showed more and more tenacity and patience in each long-lasting shot.

Although Thuy Linh was close to set point at times, Yanyan's bravery showed in the decisive moments, helping her come back to win 23-21, thereby setting the final score at 2-0.

Despite the defeat, Thuy Linh still left a strong impression with an unbeaten streak on her way to the final. The 27-year-old player successively defeated Liang Ting Yu (Taiwan), Kisona (Malaysia), Thamonwan (Thailand) and Kim Min-ji (Korea). This is the fourth consecutive time Thuy Linh has appeared in the women's singles final at the Vietnam Open badminton tournament, affirming the stability and top class of Vietnam's number one badminton player.

Meanwhile, Cai Yanyan had a surprising journey when she defeated four Indian players, Ira Sharma, Shriyanshi, Tanvi Sharma and Ashmita Chaliha, to win the championship.
