Losing by 2 goals, Man City made a spectacular comeback to beat RB Leipzig

Julian Alvarez scored to help Man City complete the "comeback" against RB Leipzig.

Man City hosted RB Leipzig at the Etihad Stadium in a match that decided the top spot in the table. The home team were rated higher but they had to work very hard to win.

Coach Pep Guardiola fielded his strongest squad to quickly deal with the Bundesliga representative. However, things did not go according to the Spanish coach's plan.

They conceded in the 13th minute. Center back Manuel Akanji misjudged the landing spot after a goal kick from away goalkeeper Janis Blaswish. Lois Openda seized the opportunity, beating goalkeeper Ederson to score the opening goal for RB Leipzig.

Before the end of the match, the English striker contributed to the home team's goal. He passed the ball into the penalty area for Alvarez before the striker finished, beating goalkeeper Janis Blaswich.
