The local economy has clearly developed, the economic growth rate in the period 2020 - 2025 averages 8.2%/year. The total production value in 2025 is estimated to reach over 1,880 billion VND. The budget revenue in the commune in 2025 is estimated to reach 15,946 billion VND.

Cau Hai Lagoon is an advantage for developing sustainable aquaculture and ecotourism for Phu Loc commune.

It is noteworthy that the economic structure has shifted towards rapidly increasing the proportion of trade - services and industry - handicrafts, gradually reducing dependence on agriculture . Currently, the proportion of services accounts for 57.4%; industry - handicrafts accounts for 24.2%; agriculture is 18.4%.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hiep, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, said: In Phu Loc commune, infrastructure has received investment attention, creating momentum for socio-economic development. The locality has completed and put into use more than 43 traffic - irrigation works, upgraded 12 inter-village roads, lighting, and roads in the commune center. The whole commune currently has 4 stable cooperatives, more than 960 individual business households, and 27 registered enterprises. The average income per capita in 2025 will reach 67.6 million VND/person/year, an increase of 60% compared to 2020.

Along with economic development, the cultural and social fields also made a clear mark. People's health care; labor, employment and social security. Notably, in Phu Loc commune, the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has been widely maintained in all 3 units before the merger until now. Currently, the whole commune has 21/21 villages achieving cultural titles, the annual rate of cultural families reaches 98.6%.

Thanks to the focus on education and training, in recent years, the locality has had many positive changes, achieving many comprehensive results. The whole commune currently has 12 public schools (4 kindergartens, 4 primary schools, 2 junior high schools, 1 middle and secondary school and 1 high school); of which, 10/12 schools meet national standards, reaching a rate of 83.3%. The quality of key and mass education has been significantly improved, for many consecutive years being in the leading group of the old Phu Loc district.

Mr. Le Van Thong, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Commune People's Council, commented: Hue City, with its new position, is facing many opportunities for strong development. Investment resources, especially from the budget and socialization, will be mobilized to synchronously develop the technical infrastructure system and socio-economic infrastructure, creating a driving force to spread to localities in the region.
