Searching for male student suspected of drowning at the saltwater barrier dam in Dong Ha city

This afternoon, June 15, information from the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PCCC and CNCH) of Quang Tri Police said that the unit is making efforts to search for a male student suspected of drowning at a saltwater dam in Dong Thanh ward, Dong Ha city.

Before that, at around 2:30 p.m. the same day, MTGB (born in 2009), residing in Ward 5, Dong Ha City, a student of Nguyen Hue Secondary School, and a group of friends went to the saltwater dam area to play. While bathing, B. was unfortunately swept away by the water. The group of friends tried to rescue him but were unsuccessful.

Immediately after receiving the news, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department urgently mobilized forces and vehicles to the scene to coordinate with the Dong Thanh Ward Police, Ward 3 and local people to organize search and rescue work. Professional measures of diving and searching the suspected area have been deployed but so far no one has been found.
