I always consider myself a “Child of Nature”. Life’s challenges constantly drag me into a myriad of chaos, but only when I return to nature can I be myself and find my place of belonging.

On those journeys of discovery, the places that left an impression on me were Cat Ba, Lan Ha Bay and the pristine and mysterious Ang Tham.

Following the fishermen deep into the bay, I could see the magic of Lan Ha nature. The islands were covered in lush green trees.

The long stretch of fine white sand hugs the foot of the mountain, the deep blue water is like a jade in the middle of the sea and sky. On the way to Ang Tham, we turned to Hau beach.

Fishermen here named it so because of the strange appearance of the sandbank like a giant oyster lying exposed on the edge of a rocky mountain.

The way to Ang Tham is an unforgettable experience as you cannot go by big ship but have to use a boat, then switch to kayaking.

I drifted for several hours on a wooden boat with fishermen who understood the habits of the water, the erratic ebb and flow of the tides.

The last stretch was very narrow, with waves constantly undulating, and sharp rocks that seemed to test anyone’s courage. We skillfully switched to kayaking to approach the rock crevice. It was difficult and dangerous, but when we stepped inside, the beautiful scenery that appeared before my eyes stunned me.

Lush green vegetation, undulating sand dunes, and a jade-green lake, without a ripple, as calm as an inviting mirror. The beauty of Ang Tham is that amidst the noisy waves crashing outside, the area inside is strangely peaceful.

This lake is about 240m long, about 140m wide, the depth fluctuates with the tide up and down about 5 to 6m. In the lake there are many types of coral, especially growing and developing strongly in winter. With the wind-sheltered terrain, this place is also a shelter for fishermen and their boats during storms.

Ang Tham is a suitable place for those who want
to explore wild nature because the road to this place is difficult, and there are no services. But because of that, this place is always attractive and inviting to the souls who love to "travel".
