Scientific seminar Consulting on conservation strategy, reconstruction and promotion of the heritage value of Hoa Lu Citadel using scientific and technological solutions

On September 10, in Ninh Binh city, Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee coordinated with the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences and the Vietnam Historical Science Association to organize a scientific seminar "Consulting on strategies for preserving, reconstructing, restoring and promoting the heritage values ​​of Hoa Lu Citadel using scientific and technological solutions".

Comrade Secretary of Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan delivered the opening speech at the seminar.

Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Secretary of Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee Doan Minh Huan affirmed: Hoa Lu capital existed for 42 years, under the 3 dynasties of Dinh, Tien Le, Ly, but had a very special position and status in the cause of building and defending the country of the nation. Thereby, the position of Hoa Lu ancient capital was formed in the consciousness and spirit of the people. After moving the capital from Hoa Lu to Thang Long, there were many heritages existing on the ground, there were also many heritages hidden underground or moved to Thang Long; there were tangible and intangible cultural heritages... These heritages have been eroded by the impact of time and history. Therefore, it is necessary to focus on restoring, rehabilitating, and preserving the heritage of the unique architectures, landscapes, and cultural values ​​of Hoa Lu ancient capital associated with traditional education, heritage conservation, and promoting the development of cultural industry.

To ensure the synchronization between the position and spirit values ​​of Hoa Lu Ancient Capital with the values ​​of works and architecture, Ninh Binh province organized a scientific seminar "Consulting on strategies for preserving, reconstructing, restoring and promoting the heritage values ​​of Hoa Lu capital by scientific and technological solutions". Through the seminar, it is aimed to gather interdisciplinary scientific research on Hoa Lu citadel; at the same time, provide new documents and important scientific bases in reconstructing and restoring Hoa Lu Imperial Citadel in particular and Hoa Lu capital in general. Refer to domestic and international experiences, especially the experiences of countries that have been successful in preserving, reconstructing and restoring ancient capitals, propose feasible ideas and solutions that can be implemented in the reconstruction of Hoa Lu Imperial Citadel in particular and Hoa Lu capital in general, contributing to the cultural, economic and social development of the province.

The subjects of the research on restoration and simulation are: Hoa Lu Palace, Hoa Lu Imperial Citadel, Hoa Lu Great Wall; Hoa Lu landscape heritage, houses, mansions, public houses, bridges, ports of Hoa Lu Citadel (architectures in Hoa Lu Citadel such as "towers", "watchtowers", "towers", "bridges"... serving the life of the Dinh - Tien Le - Ly Royal Palace; "military camps", "ports", "restaurants" of military and urban life; restoration associated with the parkification of craft villages such as Bo Bat pottery (with production, trade, performance...); Van Lam embroidery; Sinh Duoc; fine art stone; Cheo and Xam art...
