The 19th Asian Games - ASIAD 19 opened on the evening of September 23 at the Olympic Stadium in Hangzhou (Zhejiang Province, China). The organizing committee created a high-class performance lasting 2 hours with the highlight being the unique light projection technology.

The opening ceremony of the 19th Asian Games began at 7 p.m. However, before that, the audience at the Olympic Stadium witnessed impressive performances imbued with the traditional colors of the host country China. Famous symbols of Chinese culture were recreated on the stage of the opening ceremony.

After the performance of the Chinese national anthem and the introduction of the mascot, the sports delegations participating in the 19th ASIAD marched into the stadium one by one. The Vietnamese delegation was ranked 43rd (out of 45 delegations).

Nguyen Huy Hoang (swimming) and Nguyen Thi Huong (shooting) are the two athletes who carry the national flag at the front. The Vietnamese sports delegation has 337 athletes competing at the 19th ASIAD with the goal of winning 2-5 gold medals and having many athletes qualified to participate in the Olympics.

Chinese President Xi Jinping declared the 19th Asian Games open at 8:15 p.m. This was followed by a spectacular artistic performance imbued with the traditional culture of the host country. The light projection technology created images that delighted the audience.

In particular, the most impressive highlight of the opening ceremony was the lighting of the torch in a new style. At the same time the torch was passed through the hands of athletes and former athletes representing Chinese sports, a virtual flame was also brought to the Olympic Stadium in Hangzhou city using projection technology.

The moment athlete Wang Shun - Olympic champion and record holder - lit the symbolic cauldron marking the official start of the 19th ASIAD. The Games closed on October 8.
