Why is there this cooperation? - Ms. Tran Thi Kim Hoa - permanent advisor of the Vietnam Press Museum shared: Based on the wishes of the Hung Yen Provincial Journalists Association, since mid-2024, the Hung Yen Journalists Association has discussed a cooperation plan with the Vietnam Press Museum to organize an exhibition event on 100 years of Vietnam Revolutionary Press and an exhibition on Hung Yen press, creating a highlight at the Hung Yen Provincial Spring Press Festival in 2025. The desire to create a difference from the local side seems to have been in harmony with the wishes and needs of the Vietnam Press Museum.

“When working with localities across the country, we found that local press is very special. Vietnam from Cao Bang to Ca Mau has local newspapers and radio stations and each has its own history for many decades. From revolutionary struggles to peace and unification, to innovation and integration, the press has touching and meaningful stories about its role and mission... Therefore, when talking about Revolutionary Press, we are not only talking about the central press and major newspapers, but also about local press...

And that is also the reason why we are very willing to coordinate with the locality to honor and be proud of that. With that in mind, in the collection journey, the Museum has paid great attention to the local press display area, but that area is still small compared to reality... Carrying out a series of events to honor and be proud of the Revolutionary Press in each locality will be a difficult task but also the responsibility of the Museum. Each locality will have to find ways to innovate and deepen it..." - Ms. Tran Thi Kim Hoa emphasized.

The exhibition space at the Hung Yen Spring Press Festival has been basically completed. The smooth coordination between the leaders of the Provincial Journalists Association, the Vietnam Press Museum and the Provincial Journalists Association promises the success of the event.

At the event, the Vietnam Press Museum will display a booth with the highlight of recreating the 100-year history of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press and Hung Yen press in that historical flow. The public will be able to admire valuable press publications, some Spring newspapers through the periods, as well as artifacts associated with the journalism activities of generations of Vietnamese journalists. Another notable point is the stories told about characters and events associated with the milestones of Hung Yen press, martyr journalists and typical faces of Hung Yen press...

Through the images, documents, artifacts and stories on display, the public will better understand the history of the development of Vietnamese journalism, the great contributions of generations of journalists in the cause of national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland. At the same time, the public will better understand the contributions of Hung Yen journalism to the general flow of the country's journalism.

It can be said that the presence of the Vietnam Press Museum will enrich the overall picture of the Hung Yen At Ty Spring Press Festival, while also bringing meaningful cultural and historical values...

Race and accelerate to execute multiple plans at the same time

For the first time, the Vietnam Press Museum in collaboration with the Hung Yen Journalists Association organized the Spring At Ty Press Festival in Hung Yen province, scheduled to take place on February 21, 2025, but it will not only stop at the story of a local press, but is expected to continue to spread... And one exhibition cannot fully outline, reconstruct the entire history or honor that achievement, so there needs to be many more activities.

Ms. Tran Thi Kim Hoa said: “We chose this time to coordinate with localities to carry out the honor and pride of Revolutionary Journalism because this year is a golden time, a once-in-a-century moment... for those who are still alive today to have the opportunity to pay tribute to history, to pay tribute to the journalists who came before... An opportunity to look back at what we have done, what we left behind and what we will continue to do now, what debts we have not yet paid to our ancestors.”

Ms. Hoa also shared that the Press Museum has been continuing to develop plans and coordinate with the Quang Tri Journalists Association and will organize the "Quang Tri Press Festival". During that festival, in addition to the exhibition "100-year history and pride of Quang Tri press", there will also be a workshop to re-identify the contributions, achievements, and responsibilities of the press to Quang Tri and the country...

From Quang Tri, that flow will go to Ho Chi Minh City with a planned exhibition at Dong Khoi Street and a conference on war journalists... and so on, each province will have its own ideas associated with each unique feature of local journalism. The Vietnam Press Museum hopes to say more, tell more, honor more, and sketch out many things that journalists have experienced and witnessed, and have had the opportunity to experience...

It can be said that, moving towards 100 years of Vietnam Revolutionary Press, 75 years of the establishment of the Vietnam Journalists Association, these days, the Vietnam Press Museum has been racing and accelerating to simultaneously implement many plans. The goal for the exhibition and seminar contents in coordination with the locality will certainly be a remarkable highlight, attracting the attention of the public and contributing to honoring the historical values ​​in the journey of a century of fighting of Vietnam Revolutionary Press, arousing pride in the press tradition of each locality.
